Update on me :*) -- new UPDATE AGAIN!!
Hi!
I know I disapeared off these boards, it's been pretty hectic. Just thought I'd give an update since I just read thru all your updates [
]
Pregnancy - is going ok. It's been a bit of a rollercoaster having nothing to do with the babies and everything to do with doctor's.
Long story short, I'm in the search for a new ob because I want to have the choice to deliver these twins vaginally; but since I had my DD via emergency c-section (fetal distress) - almost no doctor is willing to work with me. I'm automatically a scheduled c-section MOSTLY due to legal reasons and not medical reasons. But, I finally found a dr who will consider it, and I have my first appt with him next Wednesday... mind you, I'm 34 weeks on Friday.
Part of the bonus of having twins, is multiple ultrasounds. I had one about 7 weeks ago and found out that baby A was breech and baby B was transverse. Put a bit of a kink in my whole wanting a vaginal birth. Luckily, I had another one 3 weeks that showed both babies head down. Unfortunatly it also showed that there was a weight difference (20% not a biggie since they have seperate placentas) and Baby A had low fluid levels. Due to the fluid levels, I was given the steroid shots to help their lung development "just in case" I went into preterm labor. I was put on bedrest. And biweekly NST to make sure they're both doing fine.
Good news is both are passing their NSTs with flying colors; and my current ob isn't very worried. I trust his judgment in this... now if only he'd let me try to deliver them vaginally [
].
So, I'm at home relaxing. Hoping that the appt next week works out. Hoping I don't go into labor before then (after 34 weeks, they don't stop the labor of twin mommies). Then again, also hoping I go into labor before I hit 38 weeks, since most obs won't let twin mom's go past 38 weeks (I plan to "fight" that one... even if week 39 is Thanksgiving).
Since I can't t-tapp; and alignment is SO important for baby positioning; I've started going to a chiropractor. She's very suprised at how good I "look" alignment wise and how I don't have the usual aches and pains. Keep in mind I'm already measuring 46 weeks! I'm huge
.
For those of you who know, we're still in an apartment. Our home is finally getting close to being done... they want to close on Nov 18th... yup, week 38, nice huh :*).
And DH is looking for a new job. More on that later, must email the local t-tapp support group first.
So, between researching twins, vbacs, new obs, u/s, NSTs, chiros, and bedrest... well, now you know why I haven't been here!
Many hugs to all of you! I only wish I had actual t-tapp news to share; but I'll have plenty of that post-delivery!
Happy T-Tapping!!
