    Default alfalfa-insomnia

Has anyone had trouble with taking alfalfa and sleeping? I take the 3 before bed (for the human growth hormone thing) and I go to sleep okay, but then I'm up every 20 min or so all night long. Any ideas? I would take it earlier, but I like to have a snack at night and Teresa said that you can't eat after you take it for it to work. Help! Thanks!

I haven't heard of the alfalfa doing that. Have you tried taking the cal/mag before bed to help you sleep. It also helps with the HGH too. Check out this link from Deb:

I've never heard of not eating after taking the alfalfa, I'm wondering, are you thinking of the CalMag? I know that one, you can't eat after taking it at night.

I take the alfalfa whenever I can remember the stuff![]

Maybe I am confused--not surprising! I bought the cal-mag but b/c of a loose problem I have not taken it. I think that I need to re-read the Alfalfa threads! Ugh, I take so many supplements it is hard to keep track of! Thanks for putting me on the right track!

No problem, Miss Julie. Happens to the best of us more than we'd like to admit. []

Yes, it is ok to take alfalfa anytime. You aren't suppose to eat after you take Cal-Mag though if you take it before bed for the HGH thing. We all get confused. That is why we are here to look after each other! Try just using 1 tsp of the Cal-mag and see if that helps. If I take too much it does the same thing to me!

    Julie,

I couldn't tolerate Cal-Mag at first either. My body got rid of it immediately.

That told me I needed to try the Natural Calm which is just the magnesium. Read this page about it:http://www.naturalcalm.net/article-mag-vs-calcium.shtml
