    Default Discipline Help Needed

I know I'm not alone. I know that to change my body, I need to Tapp. I have the MORE dvds and fell in love with them when I got them, did them for a few weeks and lost 2 (yea) pant sizes.

Here's my problem. I'm completely undisciplined. I had a traumatic experience this spring and cannot get back into the swing of Tapping or brushing. I've regained the 2 sizes lost. The lack of discipline is a pattern for me and I use EVERY excuse to not focus and get done what I need to do.

I am really NOT beating myself up, I'm too "good" to myself. I need accountability but don't know how to set that up so it's effective for ME.

Is there anyone else that can identify and has overcome this laziness and sloth? What did you do? I really do need help and I'm not sure where to turn.

Thanks, Ladies! I know in this grand group of women there is help to be found.

    Hmmmmmm.

You know you need to do it.

So you need to check in somewhere. Someone to hold you accountable.

    Right?

How about 2n2? We'll keep you encouraged.

Or, I'll just email you every day and nag your arse.

    [}][}][}][}][}]

I've overcome this laziness by checking and posting here daily as well as having good girlfriends who tapp who consisitently bug my arse about it. And calling me, too! Just to check if I'm tapping!!! The nerve!! []

P-L-A-Y Come on, push it. You can do it.

    Hi Olerica,
I have a suggestion that is working for me....keep coming to this message board and stay connected to T-Tapping. Read about what other T-Tappers are doing every day. These postings will motivate and encourage you.

We're all sort of Tappers Anonymous...I know it's silly...Habit Formers may be another area of support.

I second that! I find this forum a great motivator, both the stories and the questions, just knowing that others are tapping. PLUS my sil and i meet (when we can both get out of bed) and it has been a great accountability.

Pretty much all of us have been there at one time or another, Olerica!! I have also found that my laziness is very sneaky---what works to motivate me today will probably not motivate me next month. So I keep reading the forums, checking in with a few friends, read inpriring posts that I've saved for that specific reason, and write down on the calendar every workout that I complete. Anyway, just want you to know that you're not alone, even those of us who LOVE T-Tapp have trouble pushing P-L-A-Y sometimes! (Ginger's sig. line inpsires me every time I read it---that girl!![])

Keep trying, you can do it!!

    Hello!

I know that "devil" very well.

Logging in here helps me a lot. I am single and have a pretty easy lifestyle in terms of responsibility. No kids, no elderly parents, and I work part time at the present, so I havevirtually NO excuse for not Tapping. But that does not make the desire and motivation any easier. When I feel like chucking it in, I come here and read the forums, and feel like I am in good, kind, motivating company.

I also know that for me, it often feels "safer" to have the invisibility of size to hide behind, so I do EFT (many threads here on it, just do a search). If I am a person of size, less is expected of me, so I can get away with doing less. I don't "deserve" to be fit and attractive. That is a mantra I have set about smashing and getting rid of. Maybe you have similar fears/doubts?

When I do my Tapping, I feel better mentally and physically, and frankly, that is addictive!

My boyfriend is a procrastinator, and I learned this trick from him. Decide to Tapp, but tell yourself you will only do it for 5 minutes (or whatever time period you like). Set a timer. I can guarantee you that once you start, and when the timer goes off, you will probably not want to stop until the tape/dvd is finished.

Be kind to yourself! Give yourself permission to look and feel good.

    Hi Olerica,

I know exactly what you are going through.

I started tapping in January and i completed a 14 day bootcamp and for about 1 week i was doing EOD.

Then, suddenly, i stoppped. I am a full time mom and student and felt quite overwhelmed. [V]

During bootcamp, i got up everyday at 6:00 to workout. Up until last week i had no idea how i would get back on track. Then it hit me. [?]

I got up at 7:15 to complete the first part of the workout and once my kids went to bed, i would do the second part. Now i feel a lot better. I have almost compeleted my bootcamp and i see results. This is why i returned to T-Tapp. RESULTS!!!!!

I just wished i thought of this sooner! So keep up the good work and remember to always ask for support.

    Good Luck
    Anna [^]
