Default Regal Tappers 11-17 April [Attn MORE Ladies]

I am starting this for 1-Newbies, 2-MORE gals [specifically the More to Lose], and 3-anyone that need some encouragement to actually put the tapes in and DO them.

I have seen several post lately with ladies that are so discouraged or overwhelmed because of having a lot to lose and the physical limitations that come with it. This program works but you do have to do it. I understand the fear/apprehension. So I decided to be a cheerleader for us.

I picked the name Regal Tappers because it sounds better than Queen size, and it sounds positive. OUR MOTTO IS CUT REPS!

The first rule it that everyone has to have a POSITIVE nickname/screenname. In preemie wards they give all of the babies strong names like Hercules and Xena so that they have positive energy to get stronger and healthier. If your imagination is taxed just put Queen or Princess in front of your name. [did you see "the Ya-Ya Sisterhood"? Great nicknames]

2nd Rule-You have to say something positive about yourself in your posts-even if it is the same every time. It doesn't have to be physical, it can be "I am a good listener and my friends can count on me", but if you can say something positive it helps put a good spin on the day.

3rd-Encourage someone else by name. What goes around comes around.

4th-No one but you will know if you do this but do one nice thing for yourself a day. This does not mean treating yourself to a pint of Ben & Jerry's. Do your nails, put on some lipstick, brush your body etc.

Rule 5-(but it should probably #2)-Measurements once a week, Scales once a Month.

    (((HUGS))) to all

    Greetings everyone!!!!

I am back, I am alive, and I have really, really missed everyone. Are you all fine and well? I truly hope so, you are all so wonderful and my life has not been the same since I have been out of touch with you. My life has been really hectic and I have not worked out since the beginning of Feb. It seemed like I was so motivated and then a whole bunch of things happened in my life and I was unprepared for what went on. I know now that I didn't deal with things like I should have. Instead of finding the time to w/o I made up excuses and turned my back on the best thing in my life - T-tapping. So now I am out of shape, extremely tired and my self-confidence is low. It amazes me that I was feeling so good, I felt like I was on top of the world, and wham, I stopped tapping. It doesn’t make sense. But I have joined the contest and I think it may just be the motivation I need. And I am back on-line. I find that when I am not signing in and posting, I’m also not working out. They seem to go hand in hand for me.

It will be good to hear from all of you, I've have really missed you. Take care, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

    Lots of love,
    Gail

Gail!! I've missed you! I sent you numerous emails but they came back as undeliverable. I missed telling you Happy Birthday on Feb. 12 (I think!) so.........

    Happy Birthday to Gail!!!

For whatever reason it is too easy to let go of the things we enjoy that is good for us to concentrate on all the bad things that are happening. Human nature I suppose.

I'm so glad to hear you joined the contest. Please do keep us updated on your results! I didn't join this year for 2 reasons--I'm trying to get myself straightened out medically and I didn't want to set myself up for disappointment. I had to drop out of the book contest because I was so burned out on tapping, life, etc.

So good to see you back! We missed you bunches and love you more!

    Juanita

    Good Evening Regals,

Hi Gail, glad to hear from you. Do I know what you mean about not being connected and what that does to you. Exactly my situation for February and most of March. It feels so good to be in touch with my family. Are you an Aqaurian? My birthday is January 23rd.

Linda, are you kidding? Excited about measurements and pictures! I was bummed out big time.[V] Of course, I've done this picture thing before but it is not easy to see. And those measurements.......

Anyway, I did BWO+ today and SATI yesterday. SATI is quite a nice workout. My goal for the contest is to consistently do 3 full workouts a week. I am finally beginning to accept the fact that I have to do the total workouts long enough to get the results I would like to see in my body. In 2002, I caught a glimpse of what can happen when I do the total workouts regularly.

Hey Juanita, are you going to give up Nascar for Safety Harbor this year? There won't be any hotties in Florida so you might not want to come. [] Hope things are getting on track for you. Of course, going to your max is all you can do.

    Talk to you guys tomorrow.

    Charity

So my friend came over and measured me and took my pictures.

    Eeek.

Okay, so I know the photos are supposed to motivate you, but I feel slightly frozen, like "How did I let myself get so fat?" I think secretly I've been comparing myself (BAD) to others to make me feel better, like at least there is someone out there fatter than me... and my pictures look like someone I imagined I looked better then.

Maybe there is a way to do this contest with humility and self respect. Wait, I'm sure there is, I just need to find my path to it.

Already I'm starting with the self doubt and booby-trapping. No, no no... this time doesn't have to be like any other time. I know I can do this, and any change I make will be positive.

Like the songs say, "Just breathe."

All good things come to those who work for them.

    Hi everyone.

Linda--Good luck on the contest. This might be the motivation that everyone needs. If I were entering, I would enter the More to Lose too. What is your workout schedule going to be like? Are you going to try to "diet" in any way? Keep us updated on your progress!

Charity--Rats--I missed your birthday too? Shucks and I would have sent you something good too. Maybe a pic of Jeff Gordon. [] I know you can do well in the contest since you've proven so much to yourself already in the last one. I have to agree with you about the long workouts. I love MORE and try to do it almost exclusively and I have done ok with it but to get the results I NEED to get, I have to do beg/rehab most of the time. So...that's my plan.

Molly--Don't get discourged. Please read this post--http://forum.t-tapp.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=37035. You have HOPE young lady! You ARE going to do this--for yourself first, for the contest second, for anything/body last. do you have your schedule ready too? Love you Molly!

So..I did SATI last night and about 1/2 mile on the gazelle. Slept like a baby too. Are any of you doing a b/c to get the contest started? I need to join in and do one. I read about Andrea's MORE b/c--(by the way, where ARE you Andrea? we miss you!) but like I said earlier I need to do beg/rehab.

Charity-I don't know about Safety Harbor. After all these Nascar races I'm going to this year, I'm broke. I would like to check out the prices if you share a room though. Maybe I can fit it in but I need to hurry up and think about it, huh? Anyone else attending?

    Juanita

    Hi Regals,

Juanita, please come to Safety Harbor!!!!!! It is such a great experience. I understand about the money, though. And here is a woman on a pension planning her trip.

My plan is to do beg/rehab 3 times a week until I can do T-Tapp to Tempo (shorter but the full workout). I'm not going to do a bootcamp because I sort of did a mini bootcamp with BWO+ a couple of weeks ago. However, I will probably do a 5 workouts in 1 weekend during this time. It will be interesting to see how long it takes me to be able to do beg/rehab without needing to call the rescue squad. I will also do SATI and BWO+ a couple of times a week. (All of this is my plan but plans have to be flexible, too. [8D])

I definitely WILL NOT DIET!! Can't, won't, refuse, nada -- you get the picture. Dieting makes my body think I am starving it and then I gain back all of the lost weight plus MORE. Just not worth it. I pretty much subscribe to the [u]Naturally Thin </u>way of eating. (Lani's forum is a great way to find out more about this no-dieting approach.)

However, I am finishing my food consumption by 7:30 at night. Aiming for 7 o'clock and going to bed between 10 and 11. I also am doing the water cure. Started drinking the water with the sea salt on Sunday. Will let you know about any noticeable effects other than going to the bathroom.[:0]

Hope everybody is having a yummy day.

    Charity

    Greetings Regals!!

Charity - Happy Belated Birthday! Your 3 times a week plan sounds very doable and full of variety so you won't get bored. Thank you for the reminder about Naturally Thin, I am going to reread my copy of the book. I just need to make sure to get my TTapp habit firmly in place. I have dieted myself up to this weight and am not going there again. I am "unkinking my hose" to get that metabolism flowing. So I need to feed my body too. Charity - Yes, it was hard to see my pictures and measurements. VERY HARD. I didn't like what I saw, and wasn't happy about the measurement numbers I had to write down. But I'm done being hateful to myself about my body image. It doesn't help me and just brings me down. I must start treating myself with care, love, and respect. This means moving and feeding my body because it needs those things. And YES, I am excited because I finally WANT to change and get healthier.

Juanita - Thank you for your support. Last night I did day one of my MORE bootcamp to coincide with the contest, and I slept like a rock after. I have two possible plans in mind - 1. To continue with the MORE instructionals for 3 more days to get my 4 in a row accomplished. Or, 2. To do a ten day MORE bootcamp because I have more than 3 sizes to lose. But I am going to see how my body handles it.

Molly - My DH took my pictures last night and we sent them in for the contest. It was very hard to see myself as the large person that I am. It is a very humbling and humiliating feeling. Sometimes the negative self talk gets in there like: "You are too far gone for this to work. You won't get any inch loss." I told my DH this (he is a big person too) and he said, "That's why I don't let you take pictures of me." I hope to inspire him to try this with me. He told me he was proud that I worked out yesterday.
When I feel discouraged I try to remember the little things I notice after my workouts. I hold myself up taller, feel much less back and knee pain, have more mobility, and was able to sleep deeply instead of tossing and turning. I have got to focus on all of those things. Molly - I think you are doing great. Taking stock of where you are and sending the pictures in for the contest is a huge indicator that you are ready for the new changes coming into your life.

Gail - Happy belated birthday to you. That is great news about doing the contest. Isn't it good to be able to start over with TTapp and pick up where you left off?

    Take care all...
    L.
