Ladies just wanted to update you on my mom. I had requested prayers due to some "episodes" my mom was having where it felt like time stood still and she couldn't move.
She finally saw a neurologist and he does believe they are "temporal lobe seizures". He believes the trauma she received from a car wreck 12 yrs. ago is the culprit. He said it's very common for brain trauma to show up anywhere from 10 to 15 yrs. later after a bad wreck. Anway he believes that she could have either a slight fracture where the jawbone enters the skull and is causing pressure on the brain, or maybe even a 2 cm tumor in the brain. Both are fully operable and this would be the worst case senario. For now he's putting her on meds to help control the seizures and she' s scheduled for another MRI on Tues. to help him determine what type of brain damage she's sustained.
This is really a lot of relief to know what it is and be able to go from here knowing that there are several measures she can take. They may stay w/ her for a while and go away or she may have to take meds for them from now on. Time will tell. Thanks for keeping her in your prayers! I couldn't have asked for anything better. A non-life threatening thing like this is great.
