Nancy Y -- I bought the book Curly Gurls that you were talking about at lunch one day and today when I got my haircut I asked the stylist to layer it to release the waves. It worked! You should see how curly it looks!

I'm going to start cutting back on shampoo and doing the other techniques for wavy hair. I've been going to this stylist for a year, and at the end of the appointment she said, "You know, I've been dying to do that to your hair this whole time. I just didn't want to push you into it!"

Maybe the next time I'm in NYC I'll try to go to her salon. I'd like to see what she says about my hair and how different it would look if she cuts it her way.
