Are you absolutely sure it's not something that's already in the bowl? Like flecks of mold maybe getting "washed" down from under the rim? Might just investigate to make sure before you get too worried. (Or someone else in the house flushing something weird that leaves residue and you just don't notice it at first?)

Do a google search, "black specks in urine". A good number of related sites came up. You'll find some clues there.

Have you been to a doctor about this? It would probably be a good idea to see a doctor. It could be something as simple as a urinary tract infection and easily cleared up, but it would be good to make sure it isn't something more serious. i wouldn't wait any longer if i were you.

I agree with doulachic. It's probably something minor related to a UTI but it still should be checked out by a doctor. In the absence of health insurance, why not see if there is a free clinic in your area or look into a non-insurance healthcare discount plan for discounts from 10% to 60% on medical services, prescriptions and tests. Don't mess around with your health.

                  well guys
I may have to go to doctor as my back is starting to hurt..lower back..band across..no burning when I pee but I noticed now my urine is darker almost a pink tint like a little blood. Since I do not insurance trying to figure best place to go.. Like a urgent care or my hubby's doctor..make an appointment. it hurt a couple days ago I was at work and had been bending over and stood up..wow and when I took a deep breathe it seemed to hurt in my back more..anyone have this? But anyway I am home for next few days.. I told my manager at work that I may have hurt my back either thru work or an infection ( you have to report any injury right) as I am going thru workers comp for my left arm ( tendenatis) . anyway here is the story:
I work at walmart and at the end of Dec 06 I hurt my left arm.. I went thru workers comp and found out I had tendonitis
anyway for the past month I have still be working..going to doctors visits and physical theraphy. On the doctors notes that I give walmart from every visit it says my limits are 5 lbs lifting, pulling ect from my left arm.
Today I wnet to work and about after 30 minutes 2 assisant manager called me into office and said I had to go home and stay home until my doctor oked me to go back to work and lift 50lbs or more ( that there were no positions right now where I lift 5 or even 10lbs)
Now I have been working for a month doing my job without any problem or anyone saying anything with a 5lb limitation. I do not work for looks..we need the money at home right now. When I got home I called my workers comp agent and told him. He said he would call walmart and then call me back.. He called and left a message that my manager( one of the ones who told me in office I could not work)
would talk to reginal manager tommorrow and they would try to find something for me to do. I am upset about the whole thing.
Now I am not getting paid until... and ahve to go to doc..
                  Please pray for me
                  thanks
                  Patricia
P.S. My kids were so upset they wanted me to talk to a lawyer..LOL

                    Hi Patricia,

I am sorry to hear that you are going through all of this, and will continue to keep you in my thoughts.

No one here is a medical Doctor and can only offer thoughts, so therefore continuing this topic would not be advisable. I would highly recommend that you go to see a doctor ASAP, and then report back in to tell us what he/she says.

I have to chime in here and agree with Michelle. Snooky, we all care about you and want you to feel better but I think that it is dangerous for all of us to speculate as to what may be wrong with you - especially something that may or may not be serious.

At this point, we would prefer to stop the discussion until Snooky gets professional answers.

Not trying to be a nag here but this is really a situation for a doctor to address.

                          THANKS!!!

                          Kitty

Did you get in to see a doctor? What was the diagnosis? Just want to make sure that you're okay.
