ID:	1917For those of you who haven’t heard, I lost my dad on his birthday, January 22nd. It was a long journey into dementia with my dad and luckily he was happy and comfortable through most of it. As my sister and little brother and I gathered for his funeral, we each got a surprise envelope from him that he had written in his better days. My dad was such a fun-loving man! He may not have been the most sophisticated guy, but he definitely made life a joy – even after he was gone.

I know you all get the question as often as I do – “T-Tapp? Is there tap dancing involved?” Trust me, I’ve heard ‘em all -- I’ve spent my whole life with the Tapp name! And while it may not have been the sexiest name for a fitness program, I called it T-Tapp to honor my dad and his encouragement to me as I was growing up – “you can do anything, honey!” You see, I got that Yes You Can message when I was growing up and I made sure to pay it forward.

So, now you know why I’ve kept calling it T-Tapp even when everyone around me was trying to tell me I needed to change the name. I don’t think anything could make my dad happier than to know that so many wonderful people call themselves T-Tappers – I think it tickled him pink! I often tell you all that I’m so grateful for each of you and now you know another reason why.
