Before, During and the Morning After New Year's Celebration

First of all, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I'm looking forward to traveling to several cities, coast to coast, during 2001. I'll be announcing my T-Tapp Fitness Tour dates soon, but thanks to the Houston Chronicle Article and to the networking power of "Houstonian" women, I will be back to Houston the 3rd week of Feb for a 2-day/1-night Bootcamp with Target Pop workshops.


New T-Tapp Trainer/New T-Tapp Baby: Stephanie Bridges delivered a healthy, 6 lb, 14 oz baby boy Dec. 30th. Christopher Ryan will be joining his brother and sister in Dallas, TX. Stephanie did the T-Tapp Workout throughout her entire pregnancy and as head trainer for T-Tapp Mommy Fitness, she will be able to assist all new "moms in the make" as they T-Tapp through all stages of baby's growth. Tips Before, During and After New Years Day: If you know you're going to "indulge" during a New Year's Eve party, be sure to consume some raw almonds and eat a balanced small meal (before going out) that contains protein. For example, have a meat/vegetable meal instead of pasta. Then when at the party, try to consume a variety of foods from all categories – protein, fat and carbs. For example, it's better to butter your bread or dip it in olive oil than to have it plain. It's better to have guacamole or dip with your chips instead of having chips alone (same with pretzels). Go ahead, have some cheese with your crackers, enjoy some cheesecake, and munch on nuts (even roasted ones) throughout the evening. By doing this, you won't "carb overload" along with your intake of alcoholic drinks. But if you don't mix carbs with protein and fat, your pancreas will excrete excess insulin and once your body's glucose levels are full, you body will start converting all carbs to fat (even fat free carbs!). Furthermore, once you body fills its existing fat cells, it makes new ones – and once fat cells are created, they never go away, they're either empty or full. This is why I always pack some raw almonds in my purse/pockets along with some extra alfalfa capsules whenever I go to a social function that involves "open bar". Personally, I try to consume almonds and/or 2 capsules of Premium Blended Alfalfa every 2 - 3 hours (at extended parties like New Year's Eve). In addition to combining fat and protein, I also like to consume raw almonds and BBB Premium Blended Alfalfa since they are "alkaline" to offset the biochemical acids created by white flour, sugar and alcohol. Then right before bed be sure to take one BBB Fibertox and 3 "Nerve and Osteo Support" tablets from Country Life as well as 2 more BBB Premium Blended Alfalfa.


The morning after: First of all, if you over did it – DON'T WORRY! You do NOT need to start "Bootcamp" today. In fact, I suggest that you "take it easy" and let your body repair itself and regain biochemical balance as you do the following:

Start out with a tall glass of room temperature lemon water. One tablespoon to 12 oz glass of water... NO sugar or artificial sweeteners. Think of it as "unsweetened lemonade" and the lemon juice doesn't have to be fresh either. I often use "RealLemon" concentrated juice that comes in a bottle or use the little packets of lemon juice available for free at Circle K convenience stores (I pick them up every time I stop in for a hot tea on the road). Swallow 2 or 3 BBB Premium Blended Alfalfa and 1 Fibertox with the lemon water. Spray 6 - 8 times with B-12 Plus (works better than coffee!). Try drinking coffee or tea black if at all possible (sugar is acidic). FYI: Lemon juice is alkaline and it will help detox your liver.

Then do Primary Back Stretch with extra "arm pumps" between each head tilt and extra "head rock" before spinal roll up – followed by two sets of Hoe Downs. Make sure to do the CRT Skin Brushing Sequence and take a nice long shower or mineral salt bath.

Have some fresh grapefruit, but DON'T put any sugar or artificial sweeteners on it. Fresh fruit is much better than juice! When fresh, grapefruit is alkaline producing and will assist your body's digestive system. You don't have to consume the entire grapefruit at once... I suggest that you peel it like an orange and keep it in the refrigerator so you can consume some throughout the day. FYI: Oranges and limes are acidic – better to have lemon water instead of orange juice the morning after.

Then try to do Primary Back Stretch again followed by Hoe Downs or Awesome Legs in the afternoon. Take it easy on food consumption... try not to consume any "Man-made" carbs; instead stick with meat and vegetables, soups and salads. If you're taking Body Balance, now's the time to take one ounce, then one more ounce at 4 pm.

If you went to bed with your make-up on (even though you know its bad for the skin) be sure to give yourself a mini-facial and leave your "masque" on for at least 20 minutes. I really like the Enfuselle Infusing Mineral Masque since its delivery system literally infuses minerals into your skin while at same time exfoliating. However, sour cream, plain yogurt, honey, or oatmeal can be used for an effective home facial. Try not to wear make-up today... let your skin breathe! Use the Enfuselle C+E P.M. Repair both morning and again before bed today (don't forget your neck!).

Today is a GREAT day to soak in a warm, not hot, mineral salt bath with some Bulgarian Lavender essential oil drops added to it (I use 7 or 8 drops). If you don't have any Dead Sea Mineral Salts (the best), good old standard Epsom salts will work. After an approximate 20-minute "soak" try to lie down to get the best benefit from the natural detoxification the mineral salts deliver for another 20 minutes.

Walking is a great lymphatic movement, so try fitting in a 20 to 40 minute walk sometime today.

Then before bedtime, do one more Primary Back Stretch, brush your body, take 2 or 3 Premium Blended Alfalfa capsules along with 1 Fibertox and 3 "Nerve and Osteo Support" tablets and GET A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP!
