Avoiding Travel Fatigue
May 24, 1999
News
Well, I finished filming “Infinite Power” in Malibu (I did it in one take!) and now I’m en route to Houston for an interview and to meet with Matt Products (they produce the product “Immune Boost”). The other product discussed on the TV show was a nutritional company introducing a line of supplements based on blood type. They were excited to meet me and I may go to New Jersey in a couple of weeks to discuss availability of a home blood-typing kit they produce for only $9.95! I have been giving seminars concerning blood type connections to weight loss and health for over 12 years. I acquired 18 years of statistics concerning blood type combined with genetic and anatomical structure variables while working in the modeling world. Many people don’t know their blood type and having an at home kit would be convenient and cost effective. I’ll keep you posted.
Tip of the Week
People always wonder how I can travel so much and not experience time zone fatigue. Here’s my secret: Spray B-12, Melatonin, Immune Boost, CRT Brushing and doing the Primary Back Stretch from the T-Tapp workout.
First of all, to maintain my energy I take spray B-12. This vitamin doesn’t get assimilated unless you get it from an inter-muscular injection or by intra-oral spray. I use the Karemor product produced by Mayor Pharmaceuticals. Mayor patented the intra-oral spray method of delivery and research confirms it as having the highest absorbency (90% vs. 10% for pills) and quickest to reach the blood stream. The reason why is because the 50 micron molecular size passes directly through the mucous membranes of the mouth into the capillaries. It literally hits the bloodstream within 60 seconds. Nitro-glycerin was the first product to use this method of delivery and now Karemor offers a full line of intra-oral spray nutritional products (Mayor Pharmaceutical is the parent company). You can look in the PDR (physicians’ desk reference) under Mayor Pharmaceutical to see that this method of delivery is ever superior to inter-muscular shots! When we had the fitness retreat, I gave everyone a complimentary vial of spray B-12 so that they could endure two T-Tapp workouts a day and also to replenish what hot weather depletes. A lot of people don’t realize that hot weather depletes B vitamins. In fact, one of the attendees, Jill Ross from Vermont, verified that she usually gets tired when she travels to warm weather. She could really feel the difference using the Karemor spray B-12.
So back to travel… when going from one time zone to another maintaining a regular sleep pattern is important but difficult. What do I do? I spray Melatonin and I am usually asleep within 5 minutes. Since our bodies naturally produce Melatonin and it is not a drug there are no side effects (no “groggy” feeling when you awaken). The beauty of intra-oral spray Melatonin is that I don’t worry about taking too much because I can feel its effect so quickly. A pill takes 30-40 minutes to hit the bloodstream. For example: I spray 4-6 times and then wait 3 minutes and if not sleepy, I spray 4 more times (but sometimes I’m ok with 4-6). If I awake in the middle of the night at my hotel room, I just spray 4 more times (don’t have to get up since no water is needed; just keep it bedside). Both the B-12 and Melatonin by Karemor retail at $19.95.
Secondly, the reason I take “Immune Boost” (2 oz by Matt Products @ $14.95) is to make sure I don’t catch a cold from all the germs that circulate in the cabin air of an airplane. There always seems to be people coughing and sneezing during the flight. The ingredients in “Immune Boost” (Vitamin C, Zinc, Grapeseed extract and Echinacea) kill the rhinovirus and boost the immune system. Immune Boost is an enhanced sublingual spray, which means that some of it is absorbed through the lining of the mouth and the rest in the stomach/intestines (70% absorb vs. 10% pill). It reaches the blood stream within 5 minutes. I really like this product and hope to be able to have it on my web site soon. I usually spray 8-16 times on days of travel.
I also make sure to drink lots of water before, during and after flight. Furthermore, I mist my face with Evian Facial Spray to make sure that my skin doesn’t get dehydrated. Dehydration causes fatigue internally as well as visually!
Last of all, I make sure to do the CRT brushing sequence before my flight and after when I arrive at the hotel. I do the Primary Back Stretch (as shown on T-Tapp Instructional #1) up to, but not including the Plies with extra “arm pumps” and “neck circles” before brushing. I also lie on my back and do ankle point-flex and circle movements. I take my Premium Blended Alfalfa, Fibertox (prevents air travel constipation), spray Melatonin, then zap I’m asleep. When I awaken I immediately spray B-12, then take Premium Blended Alfalfa, Fibertox, drink lots of water, do Primary Back Stretch, CRT brush, shower, and I’m set to go!
If you get motion sickness (like me) you might want to try a product called “Motion-S” (retail $19.95). What a relief!
Then I continue to spray B-12 and Immune Boost all day (8-12 sprays) to keep my stamina up. Last year when I traveled to Beijing, China (a 12-hour flight) and I never experienced jet lag. If you would like to try any of these products (B-12, Melatonin, Immune Boost, or Motion-S) you can get them for 10% discount, plus free shipping. Email (don’t put credit card number on email) or call toll free at 1-877-TAP-CLUB. I’ll share some of my private stock.
Well, off to another meeting. I’ll be back Tuesday to finish next Women’s Fitness article on Awesome Legs… 5 minutes a day.
Until next week…
