"Yesterday the T-Tapp Staff, along with Teresa Tapp, went to do a Hoe Down Showdown at Clearwater Intermediate School. The Hoe Down Showdown was organized as a fund raiser for the school so they could hold 8th grade graduation.
All the 8th graders participated in the showdown. The rules were simple. Everyone would start doing Hoe Downs and once you got tired you sat down. The last 3 kids would be the ones completing for a cash prize of either $100, $50, or $25. We also brought shirts for everyone that they got at the end of the hoe Down Showdown.
The goal was for them to do 30 sets of hoe Downs but the kids blew away our expectations and they set a new record of how many Hoe Downs done! The 1st place winner, Travis T., did 64 hoe Downs, the 2nd place winner, Colton N., did 63 Hoe Downs, and the 3rd place winner, Joluis T., did 62 Hoe Downs! How amazing is that?!
Suffice to say, they definitely earned the money to hold the 8th grade graduation. It was so great to see so many kids participate and beat our expectations.
