Teresa posted this magazine cover shot of Norway's Icon, 60 year old Lillian Muller on her Facebook wall (https://www.facebook.com/teresatapp).

In the commentary Teresa said: "Someone like Lillian is actually quite encouraging for women to EMBRACE aging and just be our best."
This is exactly what T-Tapp is ALL about: Being the best YOU can be! Going to YOUR personal max. Aging gracefully and looking mighty fine while doing it. ;)
This is why, for Website Wednesday, I thought I would share the tips Teresa posted on her Facebook wall to help us all look lean and beautiful in pictures at any age! I have personally printed this for my own future use and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do.
Teresa Tapp:
"Seriously, I want you (and anyone else interested) to know that there ARE a lot of tricks one can do while taking pictures to give "illusion" of Photoshop. Like I said, I learned a LOT while working in the fashion industry! I can tell from Lillian's photos that she KNOWS a lot of the same "secrets".
For example: the best place EVER to take a swimsuit shot is at the BEACH at daybreak or in the late sun right before sunset. This shot was done early AM. In addition to favorable light, the sand acts like a reflector to bounce back and "smooth" out texture of skin (yep, even cellulite disappears with good lighting)!
Second secret with this shot: Elevating your hands above head not only minimizes veins on back of hands (sometimes they even disappear), it also elevates chest for perkier "pecs" (bosom) and elongates torso to slim waistline and flatten belly.
Third secret: Bending the front leg instead of the back leg slims the thigh. By keeping the front leg’s foot free with a slight point and with knee away (not too much of a bend) you can help leg muscles activate! See the line along her calf, thigh and hip?
Fourth secret: Keeping the back leg slightly bent with the heel of that foot slightly elevated and ball of that foot slightly pressing into ground will also help to activate the leg muscles (see calf and thigh?), but also to lift body weight OFF back of thighs and butt.
Last secret in this photo: Elevate the heels to create the look of a longer leg (knee to ankle). If you look closer you'll see that her knee-to-ankle distance is shorter than her knee-to-hip. That slight lift of heel gives the look of longer length. Make sure you don't point too hard (pointing too hard thickens the ankle)!
So see... ANYONE can take a good picture if they know how to position their body. I teach these things at my fitness events to empower everyone to have better pictures (ie - holiday, birthday, wedding, vacation, etc).
I just wanted to say that the biggest secret to looking better in photos AND in person is RIBS UP! It immediately trims inches from torso and adds a sense of confidence in appearance (inside and out)."
THANK YOU TERESA TAPP! Here's to great summer photos for all of us. :)
