How can 13# and only just under 11 inches translate into clothing sizes?!?!?!

I am terrified that it is vanity sizing on the part of the clothing manufacturers......

My husband says no, he can see a difference. But really?...................?

Especially when I have fallen off the wagon for the last two months. And this is when I lose?!?!?!?!?!?

So here is the shocker: I am a size 16 in pants (pear shaped, but breastfeeding makes it a bit more proportionate).
I bought pants last week..............drumroll............I tried on 16- too big ....tried on a 14- a bit big, but surely a 12 wont work....tried a twelve just because.... they fit! not even tight! a bit of room........... try a 10? do I dare? ok why not.....Ok so we stop there. I got in them, they were not cutting me in half, but they don't look good.
Wow, a 12, really?

Can anyone explain this? I realize things are going on on the inside that can't be seen, but ........

During this two month hiatus we also took a trip to VA, wherein I ate almost exclusively of junk travel type food!

Ok, I am finished venting my perplexion.

Does this really happen? Is it normal?

WOO-HOO! :clappinghands:

I can't explain it any more than how a year ago, I was down 8 sizes but only 30 lbs.! But I like it! :)

Muscle density rocks, honey!

If your11 inches are concentrated at your problem area, this can happen.

I am an apple, 4.5 - 6 inches off my ribs, waist, abs mean 2 sizes (not much on bust and hips) for the top. I hardly lose pants size, as that was never my serious problem being a short torso.

You are long torso (pear), so tuck butt KLT got rid of the hip, hip pad, and the inner and outer thighs along with abs... Congratulations!

There might be size inflation too, but are you losing 3-4 inches from each of the abs and hips, and half to one inch on the upper legs? The size change from Size 6 - Size 12 is like every 1.5 inch. Size 14 and beyond is like 2 inches then, maybe 3 inches for increment for plus size. Size 0 - Size 4 is like 1 inch increment.

Good for you, Sheila! So happy for you.

There is so much more to TTapp than meets the eye! That is part of Teresa's genius...it goes against common "wisdom" such as "no pain, no gain", BUT it really does work.

You are a great example of "less is more", LOL! :)

Hi there Sheila!

I lost 48 inches my first 6 weeks doing T-Tapp... 48! I dropped sizes like crazy. I didn't lose what would seem to be a proportional amount of weight. Similar to what Trish said. Be stoked girl! :)

It is rare to see a vanity 12 in lines that go past 12. You rock! 12 is usually the last of the "regular" cuts for most clothing lines and 14 is the start of the "plus" cut. I know from when I lost weight before that the 14 to 12 gap was pretty huge across various lines and price points. You'll be in those 10s soon!

Thank you all so very much for the encouragement! I really would have believed that it was vanity sizing if it weren't for the fact that I have had to take in all my pants! Thus the need to buy a few that fit.....

You ladies rock! I feel like I can really smile about it!
Ok, off to take my 60 day challenge pics and then to workout! :) might as well, I'll have the clothes on anyway.....

Its a good thing I decided to start the challenge Before I saw my before pictures! :)
Funny how that tends to put things into perspective....

Not to beat a dead horse, but I really still can't comprehend how my arms can measure bigger and yet fit into things they couldn't before.

As someone said earlier, it is a testimony to the genius of T-Tapp's founder!

Last note; I hate actually admitting I am starting the challenge, because you will all know if I don't finish!
