Hi All,
This is my first post. I've tried a lot of different programs and I've reached a point in my life that I just feel I have to get into shape. When I heard about the gentleman on the video losing three inches in short order, I was a bit skeptical. I just finished my first week and my waist is one inch less. I am amazed and I feel different. I can't want to see what happens! I didn't really diet besides. I guess I did do a few different things. Quit eating fast food, gave up diet soda, and drank more water.
Hope you are finding the same results!
All the best...Larry

Hi Larry,
Only the brave men venture into the forum.
Here is one of our most beloved T-Tapping men, he is a senior trainer no less, and he just turned 60 last week. We have a collection of his muscle activation tips, and that is not for a weakling. Don't try those activation until you are ready, but do read how T-Tapp helps him rehab his injuries and how it maintains his stamina. http://forum.t-tapp.com/showthread.php?63735-For-Dan-s-Fan-Club
If you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask, you can post them in the New to T-Tapp area, we have trainer patrol there more often.

I'll check him out, thanks. I'm 55 and just took early retirement. 25 years ago, I was in a head-on crash and was left with a calcaneus fracture which made working out difficult. 25 years and 30 pounds later, I feel like I found something I can do! I know I didn't get here overnight and it will take time, but I'm enjoying the journey so far. Thanks again. Larry

Oh, not 'Dan the man's tips!' Yikes! He's a fabulous trainer, but his tips are killers! LOL!! Take them slowly Larry!
Seriously, Dan is really helpful. He'll help you get great results and he's really good if you need help visualising what to do.

Hi Larry,
Are you still hurting? Are you okay doing the standing workouts?
Teresa has a few exercise that is good for people with problem and rehabs. If standing is too difficult, we have sitting workout and floor workout. We even have one is for fingers and foot rehab.
Teresa and many of our trainers are well-versed on injuries, they can point you to the perfect combinations of workout for you to rehab and workout at the same time.
You can either post it here, or call or email the T-Tapp office about your injuries and the state you are in and ask for workout recommendation. You won't be alone in this rehab and fitness improvement journey.

Thanks for the offer. It's great to know this kind of support is available. Right now, I'm able to do the Basic Workout Tempo with no issues at all. The result of my injury is limited lateral movement and pain from arthritis. I'm reminded of my grandma growing up, as my ankle is the best forecaster of weather changes. But this workout is great. As I think about the Total Workout, I've got some concerns about the lunges that could put more pressure on my ankles. That's why I started out with just the BWO dvd.
Thanks again...

You can stick with the BWO+ portion for awhile, Larry, and rebuild that muscle/tendon/joint strength. I have a friend on the forums here who broke her kneecap twice! She couldn't do lunges, just skipped them for awhile, then eventually started with 1, and worked her way up to totally rehabbing that knee and can do lunges now! Just be patient with yourself and let the rehab part happen as it needs to.
Keep up the great work!

Larry, yes, you can skip lunges. I skip lunges a lot. If I do lunges, I skip drop lunges. The first lunges is side, it normally does not hurt. Front lunges will take some ankles strength. Drop lunges is not great on my bad knee, so I skip without exception.
I am trying out some ankle strengthening moves Teresa showed me 2 weeks ago, I hope my performance on Front lunges will improve soon.

I am Sharon and I need to lose about 40 pounds. I am a grandmother, keeping three grandchildren, four days each week. They depend on me along with their parents, my children. It is time I got serious about my weight.
I have tried all kinds of diets and weight loss tricks. I am praying that T Tapp will be the answer to my prayers. Please pray for me as I begin a 14 day boot camp using one of the 15 minute sessions. It begins today!!!
I will keep you posted on my progress. Please pray I will stay focused and have success.

Sharon,
Come to the General Discussion area, there is a lot of form tips and guidiance there. I am going to ask you to review and practice how to curl the core http://forum.t-tapp.com/showthread.php?74570-Help-experiencing-gain-when-had-losses&p=860220#post860220
You success will rely on how well you can curl your core.

Welcome, Sharon!
Please do keep us posted! I'd focus on holding the plie squat vs going up and down with your legs, so you can focus on keeping shoulder to hip in alignment. Also, hit the pause button and kick out as much as you need to!
Here is some really good reading on curling your core and shoulder/hip alignment:

Feel free to ask questions! You can join us over on the 6 Weeks to a New You thread, if you like. No real requirements--we just state our goals and check in--and talk about everything else under the sun! You don't have to keep up with our chattiness, but it's great to stay accountable!
Best wishes!
