Jennifer hasn't been on the forums as much--her dc need her computer for school!

They are in New England and have had no power since 5:30 this morning. The generator isn't working, and they are trying one more time. If it doesn't work, they don't know what they will do. They could be without power for up to 10 days!

Her sister also has no power and no generator. Of course there is concern about food in the refrigerators and freezers.

I'm sure there are MANY others who are in the same boat, so could we all pray that power would be restored quickly?

She texted me a little while ago, and now she said the state may run out of gas in the next day or two! Oh, my heart just breaks for everyone cleaning up--or just trying to survive--after this!

Wow, it's so easy to watch the news, see the events unfolding, and yet be detached from the reality until you hear from those on the "front lines". Then it starts to sink in. I remember going several days in a row without electric after a typhoon in the Philippians years ago. You get so used to having things it takes something like that to make you realize how much you take for granted. I'll be praying they get power back soon.

Thank you everyone! I texted Jennifer to tell her you all were praying and she says THANK YOU!

Her dad has a generator, so he's loaning it to his dds (Jennifer and her sister) to use for a little bit to get the freezers cooled down again. But still, with the gas situation....

And you can imagine with NO computer, NO tv, NO electricity (and NO water!) there isn't much to do.....so pray for everyone to keep their sanity, too!

Yes, we ARE terribly dependent on technology and electricity for so many things!
