Hi everyone,
I recently received the Total Workout package from T-Tapp. I'm delighted it contains so many DVDs loaded with information, various workouts and personal stories. In the Introduction to Body Types, Teresa alludes to ethnic variations on body types (Short Torso-Long Leg, Long Torso-Short Leg, and Combo). She says she goes more in depth on this subject in a different video, but I don't think I have this. Can someone explain these ethnic variations on body type? (I'm not referring to blood types or skin characteristics.)

Thanks in advance for your help!

Maybe you are talking about personal profile CD, but that is not much ethnic heritage other than if you are caucasian, as her on the job studies were European. She does talk about body frame for different ethnics, not in depth.

If there is another one, I will like to see and own too.

There is an audio tape where Teresa talks about ethnic origin and how it affects diet needs. I lent it to a friend and I have GOT to get it back.

I remember her saying something about ethnic heritage, body type, and then blood type all combining together to form a profile of you individual needs and requirements.

That must be the Personal Profile CD, I don't have the video, that it sound like she video it. It started with the body type, with her pear and apple, ruler and square comments that we are more than that. She went on the KLT for long torso and butt tuck for short torso.

Then, it went on to the MJ studies she had during her pre-med, and figure out Type O and Type B does not get herbal stimulation as much as A and AB. The she recommended some bio-available supplements that A and AB see improvement within 2 days and O and B will take 2-3 weeks.

She talked about smaller bone frame for India Indian, also African American, German heritage might have a large bone frame, etc.

If that is the one, that was not covering too much heritage.

Thanks for these replies. I was thinking that ethnic variarions would mean that some of the features associated with different body types might not hold true for people of different ethnic heritages. For example, many Native Americans and people in many Asian countries (not all) will not have the 'bubble' shaped rear she describes/shows in her video, regardless of their body types. Is their a way to ask her directly for more information?

There aren't any "ethnic body types" body types (per say) there are short torso, combo and long torso, with some being combos and leaning toward short or long. Ethnic heritage comes in to play with the way the body assimilates, digests and eliminates or stores foods (along with blood type) and the way the bones are, Germans are "bigger" boned... Asians smaller.

Yikes Monica123, I don't think anyone is proposing ethnic body types! I'm not. I am asking (and kinda regretting it now) for information that Teresa alludes to on her video, "Intro: Body Types" about ethnic variations regarding the three body types she introduces. Simply, what does she mean? If anyone knows exactly what she means, please let me know. Otherwise, we're just guessing. To avoid any confusion, I'm not asking about blood or skin characteristics. I'm strictly talking about body types/basic frame shapes that exist all over the world.
Having spent many years living in Korea, Japan, Latin America and Europe, I think I know what Teresa's getting at by "variarions", but I'm not sure. I think she means the Long Torso/Short Legs (like Teresa), Short Torso/Long Legs, and Combo body types for some ethnicities will generally, but not exactly, follow the descriptions she provides in her video. I think that's what Teresa means by "variations." The models were non-Asian in the video I received.
Is there a way to ask questions to Teresa directly? This would probably be best since I'm asking for clarification of what she mentions in a particular video.
Thanks!

Which video did you watch? The Body Type in the Instructional #1?

What I remember from the Personal Profile CDs is that certain ethnicities tended to have certain body types. Germans were more "barrel-chested," short torsos, who couldn't wear (or didn't look good in) the Italian fashions (I forget what body type was mentioned as more common with Italians, perhaps long torso). There were a few more examples (possibly including Indian and blacks, iirc), but I don't remember the details.

Ethnicity was also mentioned on the personal profile CD in conjunction with which foods you're more likely to tolerate, kind of a cross-over with with the blood type tendencies she described with her research work. There were a few more examples (possibly including Indian and blacks, iirc), but I don't remember the details. Of course she is quick to explain that these are just tendencies, and if you're a mix of several ethnicities, as many of us are, you may inherit different characteristics.
