Teresa just mentioned we could customize our avatars to a personal photo or photo of a pet, etc.

Before we all inundate you with phone calls for help, could somebody post the instructions here? I tried to edit my avatar and picking a file url didn't seem to be an option available...

Right. I've made numerous attempts to upload my own avatar, to no avail. Only the pre-programmed avvies are available . . . which really bums me out! I put in a request a few weeks ago about it, but did not hear back on the query. :bleah:

I would love the system to be tweaked for us!!

I'm sorry to hear that you guys aren't able to do this after Teresa announced it was available. When it is available, here's how to change your avatar to a real image on your computer:

1. Click Settings (http://forum.t-tapp.com/usercp.php) in the upper right hand corner (next to where it shows Welcome, USERNAME)

2. Scroll down on this page and look in the left hand column for My Settings > Edit Avatar.

3. Click Edit Avatar.

4. Click the little bubble next to Use Custom Avatar. Then do Option 2 where you hit BROWSE. Browse on your home computer to find the image you want to use as your avatar. If the image is large it should be automatically be resized.

5. Click SAVE CHANGES (below the little avatar images).

Hmmmm. "Use Custom Avatar" seems to not be available yet. But we'll keep an eye on it.

Well, that's true if the person puts up their real picture! Unless you've met them personally, you really don't know if that's what they truly look like, right? (But that's really me... if I was going to use a "fake" picture, I'd do better than that!) :laughing:

This picture is from our 10th anniversary cruise my husband planned and managed to keep a secret for a year! Hard for me to believe that was almost 8 years ago!!
