Anyone else finding that if they use the glycine drops any time in the afternoon that then the night is spent restless?
Every time I've used it I cannot sleep that night. I searched the forum and couldn't find this already covered.

I remember asking a similar question in a thread (can't remember which) but I don't think it was ever addressed. I've only used mine one time so far, partly because I'm not sure if it will affect my sleep, which is already an issue on any given night. I'm thinking it will be an individual reaction, depending on many factors, but I'd like to know how likely it is that it would bother my sleep. (Caffeine is a definite no-no for me.)
Hopefully someone will have some thoughts on this. :thinkingabout:

I web searched on this and found a lot of psycho stuff, some of it quite slanderous and having nothing to do with the search.
I had spelled it incorrectly at first, and then used the correct spelling of pyruvyl glycine and still, only some sick stuff from some religious fanatics and a few accolades for using it to burn carbs and not crave them anymore, most of the informational sources from the T-Tapp store.
All I know is that when I use this, I cannot sleep. I'm going to try and do it in the a.m. instead of p.m. (although instructions from some of the sites say to use it before dinner) and see if it makes any difference.

I've heard it said (on the forums) that taking it in the afternoon causes difficulty sleeping. I use it in the morning (and this morning I thought somebody switched my air conditioner to the furnace!!!!) but I sleep like a BABY! (well, better actually since I don't require feeding every couple hours.... LOL)

 Thanks; I'm doing the same thing today.

That's funny, Cbuffy!
Pamela, I'll be interested to know how it works out for you using it in the morning. Part of the problem I have with knowing if something it working or not is that I've added so many different, new things in the past few months that it's hard to tell what is affecting what.

Pamela, I have found, too, that if I use it after 3ish in the afternoon, it keeps me awake!
Maybe it depends on your adrenals? I know mine are low, so maybe that's too much of a burst and my "second wind" comes fast and furious in the evening?! LOL!
I have to watch B12 for the same reason!

I never thought about it but now that you've brought it up, I haven't been sleeping well because I'm hotter than usual at night and keep waking up. I've been using it after every meal but will cut back and see if my sleep improves.

I remember reading somewhere that Teresa said to use it to keep you awake while driving if necessary so that tells me it will keep you awake at night or as a pick me up to keep you more alert. I usually take it in the AM and have never tried it at night.

Pamela, thanks for bringing this up! I think I have been in a vicious cycle. I haven't been sleeping well, so it takes me a good part of the day to muster up enough energy to work out. So, I work out later in the day and almost always use PG. Then I am wide awake and raring to go when it is bedtime. Don't know if I ever would have made the connection to the PG if it weren''t for your post. I am definitely making some changes in my schedule!

Adrianne, I'm so glad that voicing my concern has helped others out.
I took some PG in the a.m. yesterday and none after that and I slept well last night, so I know it's the PG. Wow, does it ever work!

This is just what I suspected about the PG spray, so I'm glad I've been cautious about taking it. That is a good tip, though, to have it on hand when I'm driving on a trip in case the "sleepies" hit. Thanks to those who gave their input.

Hmmmm....I should have had it with me in church last Sunday! LOL:behave: I had a couple of bad nights of sleep in a row and could NOT stay awake in church! Oh how I had to fight it!:sleeppillow:
I have never used it any time except in the morning. I have enough sleep problems which may have to do with gluten, but I will stay away from PG spray after lunch time for sure! Thanks for all the info ladies. ;)

Now why didn't *I* think about using it to help stay awake while driving?! You can betcha it will be in my purse when we take our big trip out East in a few weeks! ;)
Thanks for sharing that!

Hmmmm I bet all you "sensitive ones" are A blood type?? I too can't even LOOK at caffeine after noon or I will be up all night. :behave: I have coffee in the morning and that is it... water for me the rest of the day! :clappinghands:

I'm not Type A. I'm AB normal:behave:. I can have coffee just fine until about 6:00 p.m. and then maybe not a good idea.

Yes, I am "A" blood type. And I am very sensitive to caffeine, didn't used to be but now I cannot even drink tea with caffiene after lunch or I will be awake.
