It's interesting to see what little changes were made to each person. I'd like to know WHY some of the changes were made, so that I can better apply whatever principles were used to my own daily life & fashion choices.
For example, sometimes an after pic shows someone in a different top or different pants. Was that a coincidence (like the clothing got smelly or spilled on in between), or specifically done to make the "after" more impressive? Same with hair changes.
I understand the posing is mostly for pictures (it might even be detrimental to be holding that pose, "turtling" your neck, etc. for more than a few minutes at a time) -- and maybe some of this info is even "proprietary." But any info any of the participants (or presenters) are willing to share would be most appreciated!

Amazing how that in these before & after pictures they all look like they lost more inches! Congratulations to all on your hard work! Margie, I too noticed some changes in top lengths etc. that seemed to make a big difference. A lot of them looked younger too!

Margie - I was not a participant but here is my .02 cents. The clothing changes were made to either - make the outfit a better fit (more flattering, a better color for the model or to make the overall look more cohesive. Regarding the hair, I would say either the participant wanted a hair change or it was decided that the changed hair style was more flattering. I have done a "modeling stance" (three quarter view) for years when getting photo's taken as it is more flattering then getting a full front on body shot. The after poses are taken with the object of the models body being shown in the most flattering position. This changes to a degree based on each persons body and what is their best asset or what you want to hide.

Here's an article I just came across today that talks about a few of the points:
http://blissfullydomestic.com/2010/how-to-look-slimmer-in-pictures
Teresa filmed her Strike a Pose Modeling session and behind the scenes in the photo studio. She's wanting to put together a DVD with her tips on how to look great in pictures, plus more! I'm really excited about this idea... sometime in the future, maybe a year or so from now this should be available. Stay tuned!
