I just came back from a 10 day vacation, during which I thought I had eaten fairly well and had even worked in some T-Tapp. In addition, I did the skin brushing almost every day and took 6 alfalfa daily. However, when I stepped on the scale after getting home (I know, I know, but I still haven't gotten strong enough to throw the darn thing out), I was disheartened to see a 6 pound weight gain. I checked my measurements and they had stayed the same so I didn't get too worried, just committed to begin my T-Tapping routine again.

At the same time, I received my order of grapefruit essential oil so I immediately started adding a couple drops to each glass of water I drank during the day. Imagine my surprise and elation when I stepped on the scale 36 hours later to find the 6 pounds gone! It was evidently all water weight and the grapefruit essential oil had helped cleanse my system very quickly.

I am noticing now that my rings are staying loose all day long, a sure indicator for me that I am not retaining water like I always do and that the grapefruit is doing its job of removing toxins from my body. I am absolutely sold on this product!

hmm...so do this mean you are using Grapefruit essential oil to keep from retaining water? I will check that out.

I love the gf oil, it tastes so good. And I find the oil and good old fashioned grapefruit are both good for water retention.

Congrats!

Okay this is different that Grapefruit seed extract because that stuff does NOT taste good! Blessings, Shawna

For those who posted that they like the taste, I agree! It's best to put the drops in your glass and then add water...since it is an oil it will float on the top and can be a bit strong if it's not mixed well with the liquid. I have been adding it to my iced tea and it is great that way too. I am also adding it to the body lotion that I use on my cellulite areas.

I would love to hear if anyone experiences similar results as they start using it!

okay I am sorry I see now this is different. The product I am familiar with is grapefruit SEED extract. This is grapefruit essential oil. Two different things as far as I can tell. Blessings, Shawna

Where do you get the grapefruit oil from?

Izzy02

I bought the grapefruit essential oil directly from Teresa's store, but I'm sure you could also get it from a Health Food Store.

I ordered mine from the T-Tapp store as well. I believe it is on sale for $6.40 (reg. $8.00) through August 20th if you subscribe to the newsletter...or just mention the sale when you call to place your order. Very, very affordable as you only add 2-3 drops to a glass of water.

Valorie--Thank you for mentioning the price and the newsletter. For some reason, the newsletter does not reach me--don't know why. I'm going to call and order now! Thanks again,

Victoria,
Put it on your calendar... next month it's Sept. 16th.

Peggy, I think that date is wrong and should be the 21st. The 16th of Sept is a Thursday. I'm sure someone at T-Tapp will notice that today and correct it. I've already got it on my calendar.

I would call the office. They are so knowledgeable and friendly!

Winelover I have asked that question and they told me it's not the same thing. BUT as I don't take any medication, I'm with Elizabeth, I think it's good you call the office just to make sure. I know GRAPEFRUIT can be a NO NO when you have some medication for the liver, blood pressure, etc. it's better to be aware of that.

but if you can... OH MY OH MY...
You will LOVE this oil.

I use it since January and it really feels like SUMMER each time I drink water. I JUST LOVE IT. And it makes me drink a bit more so it's a good thing. This little bottle will last forever... !!

AmethystMoon

I just add 2-3 drops to each glass of water I drink during the day. I even add it to my iced green tea. So maybe six 16 ounce glasses...just a guess.

Each 8oz of glass of water?

Isn't it suppose to be 2,3 drops / 1 Litre? (32 oz)

**Just went in the T-Tapp store, to make sure I have read it correctly and here what it says:

Just one drop per one liter of water makes water taste great and helps to boost body function for cellulite control. Makes water taste delicious!

But hey, if you prefer 2, 3 drops in 8 onces, go for it :))
It's so good I understand you!

I thought the directions said one drop per liter or "glass;" I don't have them with me to check. Probably no harm in using more (you'll just run out faster).

I have a 24 oz nalgene bottle I carry around with me, and put 2 drops in it each time I refill. I try to drink 3 bottles of water per day (on top of the other things I drink, like herbal tea, V-8). A small bottle lasts me approximately 2 months.

To be honest, I haven't noticed that much of a diuretic effect -- but I'm also taking 9-12 alfalfa per day which is supposed to do that, too.

I take it for the taste, only...
I'm addicted to that water now :D

AmethystMoon

In Teresa's brochure entitled "Additional Tips for Optimal Results" (comes with the CRT brushing and is all about skin support and cellulite control), her recommendation is 2-3 drops per 16 ounces of water so that's where I got that amount from. ;)

I fell off the wagon over the weekend and ate more salt than I normally would. (didn't eat bad, just ate out... and they don't understand the concept of NO SALT...) I drank lots and lots of water with a couple drops of grapefuit essential oil - whoosh. All gone. LOL

LOVE that stuff! (And it doesn't hurt that it tastes fantastic either...)

I have some NOW brand grapefruit essential oil. Is that the same? I know it is different from the grapefruit seed extract which I use as an antibiotic, but want to use what I have. It says not to use it internally. Seems it would be the same thing....

Donnella
08-19-2010, 08:45 AM
If it say "not to use internally", please don't. It doesn't have the purity that Teresa's does. Some oils are meant to ONLY be used on the skin or as aromatherapy. However, from what I've learned about our bodies absorption transdermally, I will never again buy ANY oils that cannot be used internally.

AmethystMoon
08-19-2010, 09:19 AM
I second Donnella's advice. There is "food grade" essential oil that can be taken internally, but if it is not rated as that, do not take it by mouth. I think Teresa's is so affordable and it lasts a long time...it is worth ordering some!
