View Full Version : How do I make the search feature work properly?

I click on "search" and type into the box the following, with and without quotation marks: "less to lose".
But it just brings up every time the word "to" shows up, and "less", and "lose", which doesn't help much in locating the phrase "less to lose". Is there a way to search by a whole phrase?

don't know but can't wait to find out the answer since I've had that problem too!

I just did the search again and this time in the first few hits I did happen to find "less to lose" as a phrase. Hm. It's hit and miss, though. How to make it consistently do that?

Hi Muckler and Blissful,
We just added a new feature, the TappBar at the bottom. Try using the search function that we built into the TappBar. I think you'll find that it works much better. I just did a search for "less to lose" without the quotes of course, and it came back with several pages of results. Let me know if this works better or worse.
Thanks

I just typed in "less to lose" in that search bar at the bottom of the page and all it did was bring up a new window that was all white. No info or anything. Tried it a few times and kept getting the same results.

Muckler - what type of computer and internet browser are you using?

Heck, I hadn't noticed that new bottom bar! When did that show up?? LOL!
I use Mac/Safari and the white box eventually has Google search results in it, for me.
Not sure the *Less to lose* results is what I would have expected, but at least it's something.
Anxious to try it for some I am actually searching for an answer on!

Lori and Muckler - could you possibly try searching with quotation marks around "less to lose" and let us know if that works better?

That's how I did it and it didn't work (with the quotation marks). I just tried again and still get the same thing, just some white page with two tabs. One tab says "Blog" and the other says "Web". Then there's a "powered by Google" search box at the top of the page. I've tried putting "less to lose" in quotations in there and it brings up things like, "How to eat less to lose weight", not even anything to do with T-Tapp's site. I just want to search the T-Tapp site alone. Is that possible? I know I've seen the phrase "less to lose" in here a lot of times over the past few months.

Thanks for trying! Did you try without the quotation marks?
It works for me in Firefox on a PC.

when I do it WITH quotations I get just the blank white pages but WITHOUT I get the search results
although I will say when I just tried it again, it DIDN"T work either way , nothing happened whether I hit enter or the search button so I opened a new window and did it again and it worked:dontknow:

Muckler, you want to click on *blog*, not web, to get T-Tapp results... Not sure why it's called blog?
But it is. No, I don't search with quotation marks Casey.

Blissful - Thanks for testing it out for us. Can you tell me if you're on a PC or Mac and the type of browser you're using?
And thank you, Lori!

Sometimes Spammers get on the forum and post these things. It means nothing. Just ignore it. Sorry that happened to a thread you were subscribed to.

Should I remove my quotation of the spam? I don't know how that might affect things.
