Good morning everyone,
Just wanted to know if anyone has any terrific breakfast smoothie/protein shakes, whatever you call them, recipes?
I usually have very littel time to prepare breakfast and would like to have something that I can prepare quickly, preferably the night before if that is possible.
Love to hear from you. Thanks so much.

I use 1 to 1 1/2 C plain Kefir, 1/2 C frozen blueberries, 7 to 8 drops of Stevia and blend well.
If you really want to health it up, I also add 2 TBLs fiber, 1 TBLS goatein and /or 2 tbls of Green Food (Garden of LIfe products.) I have also added spinach, carrots and other kinds of frozen fruits. We use only the plain as there is too much sugar in the flavored ones.
My 5 & 8 yros love this too!!
We use this just about every day. Helios brand is the best as it contains the most live cultures and they are very structured about the shelf life. This brand is also recommended by Jordon Rueben if you are familiar with him.
"Kefir is a natural probiotic. It contains live active cultures of normal flora that will actually repopulate your digestive tract and aid in digestion. Kefir is superior to yogurt because yogurt is made with transient, less potent bacteria. The bacteria in yogurt will last a few days in the digestive tract, and you need to keep reintroducing them. Kefir contains more organisms than yogurt, and the "normal flora" in kefir is made of vary strong strains of micro organisms (unlike yogurt) which will help to over take pathogenic organisms that have taken over. Kefir will repopulate the digestive tract with good organisms." Fom Wilderness Family Naturals

These come out a yucky color too sometimes but the still taste great!

I was just looking for some smoothie recipes that I could make for breakfast that didn't have milk in them.

I make a protein smoothie everyday for breakfast. I LOVE them! I don't really measure, I just kinda throw it all in. I know about which line of the blender to fill each item up to. I know, no help![:p]
I buy frozen fruit from Costco, they're less expensive and most of them come organic. I use different combos of strawberries, blueberries, peaches, mango and blackberries. I also sometimes buy a pineapple, cut it up, and freeze the chunks.
Here's my approx recipe:
4 oz juice (usually unsweetened cranberry or sometimes oj)
add water to total 10-12 oz
frozen fruit- approx 1 1/2 c (?)
1 scoop protein powder (Jay Robb's is my fave!)
1 scoop Garden of Life Perfect Food (greens)(another fave!)
1/4 tsp Stevia Plus
1 Tbl ground flax seed
1 Tbl flax oil
Yum, Yum, Yum!!!:D
