When trying to do both of these correctly, I have trouble with my hips/legs When I try to lift my leg to the left side I can hear my hip bone popping as I raise and lower and cannot get it behind my shoulder. Can't get the right side to do it either but at least it doesn't pop. Does anyone else have this problem? If you can't get your leg in the proper position does it do you any good to do the move?

As Teresa says, "Go to your point of position." Do the form as best as you can. As you continue to do the moves, your form will improve. I have moves that my hip pops. Teresa does also. It's just one of those things. Sometimes that will go away as you get your muscles toned up. I think that it happens when your muscles are out of balance?
