OK, so I finished a 10 day bootcamp yesterday. When I last saw my MIL, she said I looked like I had lost more weight (she knew about my recent 20# loss, pre T-Tapp, and sees me about every two weeks). Last night, when I came downstairs in my comfy workout/yoga pants and a stretchy top, my DH asked if I had lost more weight (he sees me every day).
I weighed in yesterday and am up 5 lbs since the beginning of BC which doesn't bother me, since I know weight doesn't matter. ;)
Anyway, what do you say when people ask if you've lost (more) weight??? With DH, I just said, "Nah, I'm gaining muscle." Just curious.
Oh, and I was thinking back to the last time I had lost weight about 5 years ago, during which I was 13 lbs. less than yesterday's weight...I guess because of the top I was wearing? And it dawned on me that I was nearly a size larger than I am right now!
Oh, how I'm loving T-Tapp!

How about just saying...."I don't really know. I haven't checked lately but I feel just great!:clappinghands:

How about, "Let me tell you about this GREAT workout..." ;)

How about "My focus is on the inches. That's what really tells the story."
or
"Mostly inches! and Smile...now Smile Bigger!"

I would just say Thank you for noticing that my body is getting in the best shape it can.

I like to make them think. I would probably say "No, gained weight lost inches." ;)

Well *I* have a lot of fun telling them, "No, I've only lost a few pounds. BUT--I've lost 7 sizes and 157 inches!" LOLOL!
And of course they want to know how I did that! (If they don't ask, I tell them anyway! )

Trisch, your inch loss versus pounds loss is one of the most amazing I have heard. Can I tell it to people? I know a few totally obsessed with the scales! I use anything I can to convince them to stop it!
Beautiful people just not even needing to get thinner so upset they aren't what they weighed when they got married, so sad....

Sure you can share it, Jen! I have started losing some pounds more consistently lately, but I doubt I will ever weigh what I did when I got married, nor would I want to!!!
I told dh, yeah, it's nice to see the numbers go down, but if it's not accompanied by inch loss, I'm not impressed! ;)
I hate to see people tied to the scales, too. Especially people who think just dieting is doing them good! I have one df, even after seeing Charlotte's beautiful transformation, that still says, "Yeah, but I hate to exercise!"
Pounds do not tell the story--obviously! :D
When people say "weight" it's just a universal way of saying you look like you have less fat, so just go with it. You want to acknowledge the compliment, which is encouraging to others, too.
You have lost weight - fat weight! How about "Thank you! Yes, I've lost a bunch of fat weight and I'm so excited about my workouts!"
