OK - I've read that we are not supposed to use the scales, but I guess that is an addiction I will have to work at breaking. I started T-tapp this week, on Monday. I did instructional #1 for four days and instructional #2 for two days. I've lost 5 inches this week. :clappinghands: But, I stepped on the scale and have gained three pounds! :dontknow: I've been following a low-carb plan since November and have lost 30 pounds since then, although I've been in a stall for most of the last month. I started to move down again last week - and now - bam! plus 3 pounds. I know that we can gain a little as we convert fat to muscle, but I didn't think that could happen so quickly - and am wondering what else could be causing this sudden gain. I know that I will have to learn to trust T-tapp, I also know that my learning NOT to trust the scales will take some time.
I guess what I am wondering is...is this amount of weight gain normal - and, if not, I would love some advice. Thanks!
It has been said by Teresa that you can gain almost 5 pounds worth of muscle in the back in the first week of tapping since you are working that area. If you are losing weight then it sounds like you are doing great.
See this photo. Muscle is good!

I gained 6 pounds the 1st week of T-Tapp but lost over 9 inches. It was about 6 months before I started losing and it "stayed" lost! Normal? Yes, I think so!

Very normal, but it seems weird doesn't it? Happened to me too. If you are losing inches, then it's all good. Your body could be holding on to a little extra water to help repair and rebuild muscle tissue too.

That's GREAT! You can see by my signature line that weight doesn't matter! ;)
Here's a thread to help wean you from the scales, in case that pic didn't do it! :D

Thank you all for your input and for the photos and links. I've been "scale challenged" for most of my life. I feel that I am in an unhealthy place being so obsessed with the numbers. I will try to trust the inches instead - and try not to obsess over them as much either. Baby steps!

Fantastic Wendy! 5 inches is terrific! I am still waiting for my DVDs. It took forever for my coupon from the back of the book to get there so I could get my discount. In the meantime, I am trying to do Primay back stretch, hoe downs and OIP till the DVD comes. Can't wait to get started with them. My mind has a hard time with using the pictures in the book.

Terry,
I couldn't wrap my mind around the details in the book either. But, now that I've had the DVD's for a week - the book makes a lot more sense. I had checked out the book from the library - and learned enough to know that I wanted the DVD's. I must say - I'm quite sore and am feeling muscles everywhere. I guess that means its really working! Hopefully your dvd's will come soon!
