I just received HTF today and did the workout a little bit ago. On the parts where you are balancing on your tailbone area, I have pain, like I cannot physically sit flat on my tailbone, I need to lean to one side or the other. I can sit on my butt, but if I lean back with my legs up and the weight is resting on that small area, I just can't stay in that position because it feels like my tailbone is screwing into the floor.

Quite a few years ago I went to the chiro and he took x-rays and mentioned that my tailbone appeared to have been broken before. It was a year or so after my son was born, and while I don't know if I did it, I pushed insanely hard with him but I had an epidural, so I wouldn't have felt anything at all if I did something. I mentioned that to him and he said it was a possibility. So ... perhaps this is it?

If I tried a pillow under my tailbone during these parts, that would be better than not doing it at all, right?

I'm sure a trainer or others will be in to tell you for sure but I would think a pillow would be okay.

I have to use padding sometimes for the "sit" bones, not necessarily tailbone, because mine just feel so tender sometimes.

Use a thicker pad underneath. A pillow will work but it's not level, so try doubling or tripling your yoga mat or buying a thicker more gymnastic-type mat.

I injured my tailbone a couple of years ago and when I first started the floor portions of ladybug I also had quite a bit of pain. I used a cushion from my kitchen chairs at first. It did get better over time though and now I can do them with out anything.
