A friend let me borrow her basic training dvd. Great news is that back pain is gone. So, I wanted to learn more; went to the web site and printed off some more exercises. I've been trying to do the Secret to a Flat Stomach. I have no problem getting my rectus abdominis to engage, but I don't think that's what I want. I can't seem to get my transverse abdominis or either of my obliques to engage, and I think that's what I'm supposed to be going for. Am I right? And, if I am how do I get them to engage? :dontknow: I'm getting a little frustrated trying to figure it out. Thanks for any help.

Easiest way is... when you press in by your hip bone, keep your fingers pressing deep and cough, you will feel your transverse abs tighten when you do THAT is the muscle you want to tighten and release for the OIP. Let me know if you understand :)
