I am in the BWO+, SATI, TAPP CORE challenge. The problem is that my left knee keeps swelling up. Yesterday, I just walked without any TTAPP and the swelling has gone down significantly. I have read the thread concerning not doing plies while this is happening, but can I still keep in the challenge? Would SATI hurt me or hinder me??

Hi Leapster,

When my knee begins to swell, I elevate and ice it and take Advil to reduce the swelling. Then, I try to get to the chiropractor as soon as possible. Mine usually swells when I've over strained it (which is easy to do) or when it is out of alignment, and the chiropractor has worked miracles for me.

Hope you get more great ideas,

Thanks Cindy,

I was thinking I should maybe go see a chiro or massage therapist. It has gone down somewhat today, but I only walked for past 2 days.

Hi Leapster,
For people with health or rehabilitative issues, I feel it is best if you contact the T-Tapp office or work directly with a trainer. It is difficult to give advice without knowing alot of information and I personally like to be able to see the person to be able to give the best advice possible.
It is important to know why the knee is swelling. I like your idea of seeing a health care provider such as a chiro.
Notate this in your story for the challenge. Teresa does take factors like this into consideration. Best wishes with the challenge.

Thanks Carol,

I will contact the office. I did order MORE last week with the Deep Discount Tuesday. I have gone through many health challenges in my life. I was born with a congenital heart defect (which included fixing 4 different problems with my heart) developed juvenile arthritis and had to quit all sports I was in (and then I gained weight) have had an ongoing hormonal imbalance since starting my TOM and now have Hashimoto's and metabolic syndrome. I do remember as a child having issues with my left knee and even having a needle put in it to drain it.

In retrospect, I should have ordered MORE first, but because I was a fairly active person, BWO+ was my choice, because I thought it was something more for people in wheelchairs and who didn't have as much mobility as myself. However, I could stand to lose 45-50 lbs, so down the road I will start the MORE DVD. I am concerned that I will have to drop out of this challenge. I have not tapped for 3 days (only walked) due to the fact that I don't want to cause more inflammation in my knee. I am really thankful for what has changed in me though. I have hormonal issues related to the type of heart condition I have, and they have really changed since T-Tapp. I also sleep much better and my digestion has really, really improved!

Leapster,
You are welcom.
Yes, MORE sounds like a good plan. I can understand why you chose B+ to begin with & you will have it for your collection.
I hope you did call the office & that you can find a way to stick with the challenge--just notate your other "challenges" in your story & do what you can.

Hi Leapster!
Yes, going with MORE is better as Carol has given you great advise.
If you have sore muscles from working out that is one thing, however, since you have swelling within a joint....you might want to get that checked out.
Take Care!

Thanks Deb!
Leapster---To clarify, I was suggesting that you see a health care provider. Resume T-Tapp when it is advised by your provider & notate it in your story that you needed to do this.
You may wish to check out standard medical treatment and natural methods and compare them if you are diagnosed with an arthritic condtion.

Yes, you can stay in the challenge! Even if you don't workout much over the next few days, you can still take your final photos and measurements for the challenge. You never know, you may be surprised by your overall results!

Monday, February 15th is the final day of the January Jump Start Challenge. Make sure you take your photos and measurement ON that day. You will have a few days to submit your information on the Challenge Entry Form here: http://t-tapp.com/januaryjumpstart.

I hope you feel better soon.

Good luck!
