And we're doing the exercises along with the audience. She wanted me to ask a question.

My mom has been having neck/upper back pain lately, and she's not sure why. When she does the knees bent, butt tucked, shoulders out, and any exercises involving the arms, her mid back hurts (not the areas that normally hurt). She said she was in pain, so I told her to quit. Do you think she's doing something wrong in the posture, or should she not do something like that if it causes pain?

As for me, I'm amazed at the moves! I can't wait to show my husband. He is big into lifting weights and doing traditional exercise, yet he continues to have a back lower back and hip issues. He wants to do this along with me, so here's hoping it helps him!

Well, hard to say. I had a lot of issues like this when I first started. You can read my story via the link in my signature to my blog.

I just worked through the pain and was careful. She may have to just listen to her body and do what feels right for her. It could be a nerve but if she has any doubts as to what it is she could go to a chiropractor and get an adjustment then start learning primary back stretch to continue rehab in that area. It was 3 weeks of primary back stretch 2 to 3 times a day for me to fix many years of back issues.

Good luck! Glad you like T-Tapp. :D

I agree with Jen. I know when I first started that I had "strange" pain in the middle of my back, especially on the left side close to my spine. If you look at my pictures, there is a definite "list" to my body due to scoliosis at the top of my spine. I also think it's due to a left side dominance lasting for years. My muscles and ligaments are being rehabbed and so I will feel "pain" as those are being worked.

My advice would be for your mom to take things slow. Do any moves to just her personal max. She will most likely find that changing as she goes along. I'm sure a trainer will come on and offer more specific advice.

Congratulations on all of you Tapping together! :balloon:
