Just want to clarify---are only certain people able to have custom avatars? I am not complaining, just wanted clarification.
Thank you so much!

I believe at this time, only moderators have this option. But will check with Jeff when I can.

Thank you. It really isn't a big deal. I was just curious. :)

Like the little doggies I have sticking out of the pickup truck picture by my name?
If that is what you mean, I think you can get it on the CPanel.
Now, a specialized avatar, I'm sure that's another story... and probably most definitely meant for moderators...
I had the HARDEST time figuring that out....
And then ended up on my cpanel for some reason, and there they were!
But, if you mean something different, I dunno. :).

It is SO hard for me to tell, because what I see is different from what you see, I tried to get a trainer last week to customize her avatar... and she kept saying she did not see an option available in the CP... :dontknow: I dunno... will let Jeff, Lisa or Casey handle this one. :thinkingabout:

Here is what that cute little trainer friend of mine (aka Kayla :D )said:
Here's the deal: We CAN change our profile picture, (mine is my logo) but not our avatar! I also don't know how to put a picture in my sig line like yours. shurg, oh well! THANK
I know you can not put the pic in the sig line.. I did that from the moderator side... So go to your user CP and click on edit profile pic...

Yes, you picked the doggies from the list given to pick from. I don't think there is an option for us to upload a custom avatar. That was my question. Really, it isn't a big deal, I was just wondering.

Here is what we see (well, sort of---the formatting changes when I copy and paste):
Your Current Avatar No Avatar Specified Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under your username whenever you post.
Do not use an avatar
Note: if you have a custom avatar selecting this option will delete it.
Pre-defined Animals Avatar Category:
Animals (53 avatars) Nature (32 avatars) Tux (60 avatars) Tux_2 (68 avatars) Tux_3 (64 avatars) Tux_4 (69 avatars) You may select one of the following pre-defined images to use as your avatar: http://forum.t-tapp.com/images/avatars/Animals/001.jpg
On other forums I have been on, there is also a setting called "custom avatar." I thought there was that option here as well, and then when I went to my CP tonight to look, that option didn't seem to be there. That is why I asked---it wasn't really because I was dying to have my own avatar. I also hope it doesn't sound like I am complaining---I truly am not---just asking a question.

Yes, I believe Kayla the cute is correct.

Custom avatars are just for moderators and trainers, from what I understand, to be offered to others as a *purchase*
using experience points, as currency, at some time in the future.

Custom avatars are acutally not available to trainers either...guess we'll all have to post lots and be helpful if we want one in the future! ;):D

So that's why my uploaded photo doesn't show up with my posts. And I thought I am not doing something right.
