I was going to post this this morning and then thought I would have been totally whining! Plus---I don't want to discourage anyone else by talking about my inch gain. But I have a question or two and just need a bit of moral support. (Plus--I think I have an idea of what "some" of my problem is!)

My inches were up AGAIN this week! I'm a combo/short torso and so gaining 1/4 or 1/2 in most of my measurements adds up quickly. Last week I figured it was because of the workshop with Kirsten 2 days before. This last week (especially the weekend) I just could not keep myself from chocolate and chips!!!! I felt more and more bloated as the weekend went on. So I knew my numbers would be up, but it was rather discouraging.

I'm thankful T'appy Holidays because that is causing me to get my eating/veggie intake into better focus.

I think TOM may be here after not having anything since July. (It scares me a little, they can be really rough and with such a long break---well---you get the idea) It also explains the grazing and the agitation I've had.

I got T's alfalfa a little over a week ago from Kirsten and started with 2 3x a day. I upped it to 3 3x a day after about 3 days.

I had begun to wonder if the bloating was from the alfalfa and wondered if I should have increased to 4 or even 5 3x a day or cut back to 2 3x a day.

How much is too much? How do you KNOW when you have hit your optimum level? Everyone keeps saying that it's food...expensive food! :D

Thanks for posting this Jennifer. I have the same alfalfa questions. I look forward to the replies.

One way to test if you are reacting to the alfalfa is to stop taking it for a while, noting any changes. Alfalfa is a legume; do you know of any other issues you've had with legumes? Your concerns could also be driven by one of the other things you cited and not alfalfa-related.

I take 4 alfalfa/day (I never seem to remember to take supplements mid-day), but know people who take 16+/day with no concern.

Thanks, Kirsten. I had been taking a different alfalfa before I saw you at the workshop and I had noticed that my skin was getting more dry and I had some bloating and so I stopped. I started taking T's---just the regular amount, and my skin started feeling more soft. I knew that people had recommended taking more (I have a LOT of cellulite on my legs) and so I started to up it and then I was bloating. Like you said---there are some other things to take into consideration at this point. I'm upping it to 4 3x a day to see if it will help with what I'm dealing with at the moment. I suppose, if you are cramping and eliminating quite a bit, you may be at the satuation point.
