Greetings! I've been off the boards for months. Can any kind soul tell me if Fit Flops run true to regular size shoes?
Thanks, E.
I think they run about 1/2 size small. I had to send them back for a larger size.

What Renee said... I normally wear a 5 1/2 or a 6, and I got a 5, which fit me fine. SO confortable! :balloon: I have 3 pairs.

Hmmm, Renee needed a bigger size and Karen went smaller. I guess I'll have to go try a pair on to find out for myself.
Anybody know any big chains that carry them?

Ok. I went to dinner tonight with a girlfriend and then went to Macy's. They have the Fit Flops on sale. It is buy 2 get 20% off 3 or more get 25% off. When I tried them on the sizes were different. I took a size 8 Skecher and in the Fit Flops I took an 8 in the normal (last year design) Fit Flop. However, they had some really neat new ones. They have some that look like black or bronze (two different shoes) sequins (Electra). They are really neat, but are $59.99. In those I took a 7 because the strap comes up different on the top of my foot. They also had some that were black with patent leather on them. I took an 8 in those as well. With these it really does depend on where they hit the top of your foot. I also discovered that one 8 can fit differently than another 8.
I also know that Bath and Body have some of theirs on sale. They have the Walkstar (which is the original) in pink, red and black on sale for $39.75. The Walkstar III (bronze or black patent leather) are $59.99.
All that being said, I loved the red ones and the royal blue ones. However, they had white soles. I thought they might get really dirty. If anyone has Fit Flops with white soles, I would like to hear their input.

I am bumping this to ask again "Does anyone have the Fit Flops with white soles?"
The sale ends and I am contemplating getting the red pair. I just love them, but am weary of the white soles.

I have ones w/white soles (the top is white and silver). I don't think they get any dirtier, than say, a pair of sneakers. I don't wear them THAT much though.
Not sure if that helps or not.

Sounds like Karen and I have the same ones, I'm with her, I don't wear them that often and actually they still look great!

Check online for sales on the older styles. I know I saw some styles and colors of FitFlops on sale at walkerswarehouse.com not too long ago....
In regard to the sizing, I usually take a 6.5 in closed toe shoes, but a 6 in FitFlops fits just fine. I think the width of your foot may make a big difference. My feet are fairly narrow.
If you want to try them on in person, they are also sold at Lady Foot Locker, but they are likely to only have limited styles and colors. For all you Macy's shoppers, those discount coupons that Macy's sometimes publishes are valid on FitFlops.
I looooove mine, and bought my 4th pair not too long ago. (My favorite shoe site, endless.com, sells them now. Free overnight shipping!) I bought the suede Oasis style, which are wonderfully comfortable. The only ones I have that I'm not so happy with are the Isos style (which may be discontinued now), which has the patent leather. They always rip up the "thong notch" between my toes.

Yeh, I have the red ones with white soles and they get grimy but clean up great. The red bleeds though, so I put a paper towel beneath the straps and it solved that problem. LOVE them!

I have the original black with pink stitching and the Black with patent, and I wear them all the time. Worth the money.
I'm a 7-1/2 wide width and wear an 8. I cannot wear a 7. I have to break them in a little, but I am very happy with them so far, and my foot problems are very diminished.

Just revisiting this topic for any TTappers out there with heel pain. I bought a pair of Fit Flops after Lori French told me about them, and I have rarely taken them off since!!
Seriously, as a person who kicks there shoes off the moment I step in the house and is typically barefoot all summer; with Fit Flops, I keep them next to my bed and wear them from morning until night. I just recently returned from nine days of continuous walking/standing at Disney World and wore my Fit Flops the entire time. Never had any heel pain the whole trip. They were worth every penny!!!
I can't wait to check out the new fall styles!!
Thank you Lori and thank you Fit Flops!!:clappinghands:

I just got mine last week -- the Oasis thong in brown: http://tinyurl.com/lonnok (http://tinyurl.com/lonnok)
I love them. They look pretty similar to a pair of brown sandals that I tend to wear most days during the summer anyway, but I haven't noticed low back pain even when spending half the day standing on ceramic tile in my kitchen.
And, yes, I found them to be true to size.

I'm glad you posted this link! I have some Exertone's that I purchased at Avenue that look almost exactly like this. I got 2 pairs on clearance because they were reg $25 fro $5 on clearance! They are very comfy and it says they have a pillar compression technology. It was truly a blessing to find them and at such a deal!!! PTL!!!

I will have to try on the Fit Flops some day and walk in them and see if I can tell the difference. I am not sure what stores carry them. :dontknow:
I saw some posts saying Macy's, but I never shop there.

I rarely get to shop anywhere but online with four crazy boys, so I just took my chances ordering through Amazon (a reseller, Shoe Parlor).
I figure it's nearing the wrong time of year for many places to have them in stock. They do have a store locator on www.fitflop.com (http://www.fitflop.com) .

There are super-cute boots made by Fitflops (the Inuk) that I'd love to have for winter wear.....
