View Full Version : Arrangement of New Posts
I LOVE the new forum, but I do miss one thing from the old one :). Before, the threads that have been updated since my last visit, which can now be accessed via the New Posts icon, were arranged by the different forums, now they appear seemingly randomly (or probably according to the time of update). This way it takes a bit longer to find the threads that you are interested in and skip the ones you haven't got time for or are not interested in. Are there any plans on changing this? How do other users feel about this?
Doens't really bother me as I looked all the active topics in the old forum anyway. This is how the forum use to work before the one that was just replaces so for some of us this is what we first got use to. lol

I look through all of the forums anyway, so it doesn't bother me one bit! :) But I do understand what you're saying....

I miss the feature you're talking about, also. For awhile, I couldn't figure out what it was that I didn't care for and finally it dawned on me that the posts are not separated by the topics when you click on the "new posts" tab. I, too, found it quicker to find the ones I was following as I really cannot follow all of them due to time restraints. I love the new site otherwise, but truthfully, don't use it as much as I used to. I'm trying to get used to it and give it a good chance. Don't miss the spam at all!!!!!
Oh, and another thing I loved about the old forum was that when you posted you got a message that said "thank you for your contribution." or something to that effect. I don't know why, but I thought that was the neatest, personal touch and T-Tapp was the only forum I'd ever been on that did that! Miss that, too!!!! :-)
I'm glad I'm not the only one missing some aspects of the old forum. And I am envious of those of you who have time every day to read every post!

I understand the reason for the sticky notes on the first page of the forums, but why do they need to be put on every single page? Under the General Thread, they take up half a page and on every page. I am so glad to have a forum back in any way, shape, or form.

I love the new forum. I just hit new posts and see everything. I too would probably miss some interesting things if I didn't do it this way. I feel connected to everyone and not just my faithful groups.

I also miss the old way - only because I don't have time to read them all, and especially since I don't even have internet at home. So I'm just making myself be okay with only being able to read some.
