I did a search to find out what rag work is and came to a site called Booksamillion.com, aka BAMM.COM (their logo) and wonder if anyone has ever used them? ARe they as reputable as Amazon, who has been great in all my interactions.

thanks,

pamela

Hi Pamela! I've used BAMM.com before with no problems. Not sure if you're familiar with it, but they also have actual brick & mortar stores throughout the country, so they are legitimate and reputable as far as I've ever heard.

ETA: The website is just the online version of the "Books-a-Million" stores. Forgot to mention the name of the store in my original post! Oops!

Use them all the time. With their "Membership" you get some great prices, and if you buy a lot of books, totally worth it.

Jen and Kim, thank you for letting me know. It is so wonderful to have this forum as a resource. You folks are great. I'm going to try them then. They are $11.00 less than Amazon (even used books part)for a book on rag work crafts and I want to learn how to do that.

Pamela,

Thanks so much for posting the link. I found a book
I was looking for and I am also going to try
BAMM. Appreciate the comments from all the
members. I called today for an order form
and the customer service rep was terrific.

Thanks again! :D

Never any problems here. And though I'm usually not big on "clubs", getting their club card or whatever it's called has been well worth it for me.

I've never used Booksamillion, but a lot of Tappers have purchased their Fit and Fabulous book there.

I had zero problems with them when I ordered, although the FREE SHIPPING that was posted on the home page turned out to be only for orders of more than $25.00 when I got to check out. Don't know if I just didn't notice the fine print or what.

Still and all, the basic mailing rate was fine and I got my book in 5 days from ordering and it was in fine condition and still less than Amazon.com was - $9+ from booksamillion with shipping included and from Amazon the same item was $17.99 and didn't include shipping.

I am very favorably impressed!
