just wanted to post a prayer request for my son Jesse, (20yo) who lives in Nashville, and pray for his manager.
Last night my son called me at 12:30am to let me know there'd been an attempted robbery at the Blockbuster store he is assistant manager at. It was closing time and it was just him and his manager. Jesse had gone to the back when a man with a gun came in. He tried to get the manager to open the safe and then shot him in the back of the head when he wouldn't/couldn't. The assailant didn't know my son was in the store, otherwise my son fears he would have been shot also.
At this time, I do not know if the manager died or not but this is the 2nd time in less than a month there had been attempted robberies at that store. The first time my son had switched hours with a co-worker; that co-worker ended up getting beaten up pretty badly.
My son appears to have God's hand over him, has since birth. My son is afraid to go back to work and wants to quit (which is okay with me).
Please pray for peace for my son (I know he is experiencing a lot of guilt right now) and pray for the manager.
Pray for me too please, I ache for my son.
