Hello Ladies,

I know some of you have followed Eat to Live. I've been following the plan loosly for the last couple weeks and I feel great! It's a huge change from my usual eating habits. I need to lose some weight. I'm sick of my clothes being uncomfortable. I figure Tapping and ETL is a great combination for a healthy body and mind!

I've got some challenges coming up ie my son's Birthday party and a week long vacation. There will never be a perfect time to do this so I'm jumping in! Any advice?

Have a fabulous day!

Good luck! I think after the first 6 weeks he lets you modify a bit. At some point he talks about going for 90% ETL, but that is definitely NOT in the first 6 weeks. I know many people like it so well that they continue with the stricter version after the 6 weeks.

Good decision, Satara!

Just remember - if one of the special events gets you messed up for a day - jump right back on the wagon the next day! Even that one day may slow your progress temporarily, but the best thing you can do is to just get determined again and go forward from there. It will work! And like you so wisely said, there will never be a perfect time to start, there will always be something that comes up - so "today" is just as perfect as any other day!

Best of luck and keep us posted! :)

I've been on this program (and not so on at times). [:I] I find that the closer I stick to it the more I lose. And the grains give me problems. Some days I'll let myself have the serving, but for the most part I try to stay away from it because I lose faster without it.

Sweat may be gross, Sweat may be stinky... But I'd better keep Tappin' or I'll look like a Twinkie!!

Just tuck it, okay?

Thank you ladies for your support. It's a big change from a meat eatin, sugar addicted person like me, but I find I'm kind of all or nothing in all areas of my life. I found with the GM/MM I was constantly obsessed with what I was going to have on my MM days. Then I'd spend my whole day pigging out of every grain, sugar product I could get my lips around. Once I get a bit healthier in mind and body I may be able to do that way of eating but for now I need something more strict.

A couple years ago there is no way you could have convinced me that I would ever be eating vegan. I have always been a comitted carnivore. Half of my family are very healthy vegetarians so family gatherings should be quite easy to get through.

TNvic I've done that in the past where I would screw up once and use it as a excuse to go on a binge. This time I'm really motivated to be successful. My mantra for this new beginning is 'be prepared' there are so many events coming up BBQ's school bake sales, vacations etc. but I know that if I bring food with me I'll be fine. Once I'm hungry it's too late.

Pam I'll see how much I'll lose in the first 6 weeks. I'm hoping it will be a lot. I may continue on the 6 week plan until I reach my goal weight/inch loss.

Meredith Way to go that is spectacular!!!!!!!!! I'm aiming to get down to an 8 (that was what they said my skeletal set point was. I think doing ETL and Tapping will be a great combo.

Have a fabulous day!

Hello Pam it is separate from T-Tapp. It's an eating program designed to maximize your nutrition and rid your body of excess weight. If you type 'eat to live' in google you will get to Dr Furman's sight.
