Does the Pyruvyl Glycine Sublingual really have a great affect on weight loss? Has anyone tried it and really has really had any/great success with it?

(I have tried searching various topics over the last couple of days and everytime it sends me to that white and blue "reload" page)

I love the PG spray in that it gives me more energy to do my WO. Not sure about effects on weight loss. I'm more inclined to attribute that to all this Tapping! ;)

As far as how to construct your search, do the following:
Click Search
Type PG Spray in the search box
Select General Forum
Select Subject Line Only
Hit Search

When I did this just now, I got two pages of threads to read. I can't post all those links here for you but you should be able to get the same results by trying the limited search above.

ya.. our search feature has been funky for me too.

I personally use PG for endurance. If I feel tired during my workout then I just spray and normally feel stronger and more able to get through with good form.

When I first started working here there was a girl that didn't believe that Teresa's products worked so she called and ordered PG and did a test for herself. During the Christmas season she did nothing but PG, still ate everything like normal and lost a clothing size from Thanksgiving to New Years. I remember her calling and freaking about it, she was SO happy.

It's known as the carbohydrate cheat spray. So it helps to prevent carbs from turning to fat after you spray.

I guess Im staff so don't really count as a good reference. Ill forward this post over to some T-Tappers I know order PG all the time and see if we can get some stories going.

Have a great day!

I've been meaning to ask, does anyone know if it is okay to use this during pregnancy/nursing?

This is from ttapp trainer Stephanie about using PG spray during pregnancy:

"But we do not recommend using PG spray during pregnancy. It contains amino acids and while the spray has never been shown to cause problems with fetal development, we recommend you err on the side of caution and discontinue use.

Now Alfalfa and B12 ARE recommended to help with edema (swelling of hands and feet) and for folic acid."

And here's another one from her:

"we don't recommend the use of it while pregnant because it contains amino acids and those are the building blocks of the body. We haven't found any studies to say "don't use it" but with pregnancy and nursing, it's best to err on the side of caution and omit use for now"

I am really looking into buying some kind of fat burner thats not detrimental to the body. I was thinking of buying yohimburn topical fat burner from advant labs or something, but I hate applying stuff like that. Since I trust you guys, if I see some good stories going I'd really like to invest in some PG spray...

just a thought... been working out for a month, using the full & tempo workouts EOD...the most dedicated since i started thanks to my awesome coach Kirsten...had to use PG & B12, & Immune Boost for days & days straight, even off days...til just this past week...forgot about it...& noticed I can still get through workouts without getting winded or sloppy. These products may not be stored in the tissues (B's are water soluble so they need replenishment daily), but something has definitely altered...more than muscle memory, the strength factor & mindfulness have improved...perhaps these supplements enhance all aspects of working the body to the point where they may not be necessary all the time, or at least, as often.

keep movin'..the path shows up behind you...

You do NOT want yohimburn! I won't elaborate but stick with the PG spray. Did you see what Lauren wrote???? How many more stories do you need? Carp, I'm gonna order me some of that PG spray....lost a size w/o exercise-- oh man that is my idea of heaven! [:p]:D

Yeah, I'd pay someone to lose weight for me. Thats my heaven.

I believe the story about losing a size without anything but PG spray, but I'd like to know if it works for everyone or if that was a special case or something.

And whats wrong with yohimburn? I'd just like to know for my own safety...

Here's an excerpt of a newsletter from Teresa:

Pyruvyl-Glycine for Greater Fat Burning

May 17, 1999

News: Well, this Friday I leave for Malibu, CA to do the Body Builder TV Show “Infinite Power”. I was supposed to do it last weekend but that’s TV for ya – last minute schedule changes are common. After 18 years in the modeling world, I am used to going with the flow. At least I was able to tan a little bit before going on air with major California tans and hard bodies.

Those body builders are going crazy with the Pyruvyl-Glycine spray along with the T-Tapp Total System. Not only is the Pyruvyl-Glycine helping them with endurance during weight training but they are getting better “muscle cuts” in the thigh (hamstring and quads) which is a tough area for all women – even body builders. The reason why is because the Pyruvyl-Glycine spray stimulates the muscle fibers to burn glucose even without exercise; with exercise it gives greater fat burning along with glycogen. Since the quadriceps, hamstrings and gluteal muscles are large groupings, the Pyruvyl-Glycine really makes a difference with and/or without exercise. A lot of competitive body builders take some time off after a competition to “rest” the body and let it repair. Often during these “rest” times their bodies “blow up” with a fat layer over muscle and water retention. Well with the T-Tapp Workout, CRT System, and Pyruvyl-Glycine they are able to maintain their muscle cuts and not “blow up”. They lose some of the “bulk” but that can easily be rebuilt with the weights and Creatine Supplements. The T-Tapp workout gives long, cut muscles and maintains a high resting glucose utilization rate even on off days.

The CRT Skin Tightening System maintains good lymphatic and skin elimination of body toxins and prevents water retention. The Pyruvyl-Glycine Spray also contains L-Carnitine and HCA, which helps boost the body during muscle activity to burn glycogen and fat. The HCA stimulates the body’s citric acid cycle and helps the body process carbs rather than convert them to fat. Pyruvyl-Glycine is the amino acid version of pyruvate and clinically proven to be double effective…add the additional ingredients to the proprietary formula and you’ve got up to 7 times the effectiveness of regular pyruvate (with no stomach upset).............

Hope that helps - [8)]

Thank you! Now I really know what that is... Now I just wanna know who else has used it with good results or any results at all pertaining to weight/inch loss and not just energy gain. I think I am going to get some regaurdless to see for myself but I'd like to know what to expect.

Wow, TinyAngel, thanks for posting that, I'm not sure I've ever read that. I can't use it when I workout, it just drops my blood sugar too much. I've tried time and time again. I have a couple of bottles here that I'm going to start using at carb overload times. See just what it does for me. We call things like this Inventory Reduction, at our house. Way to many half used jars and bottles of things.... Time to clean house!

Lori, how does the PG spray drop blood sugar? I just ordered some, but haven't tried it yet, and wonder if it'd be better to try it first during normal activity. Thanks!

Does the Pyruvyl Glycine Spray react like caffine in any way? Does it give the shake? is it addicitve? I'm concerned of possible side effects to the body?

PG is not addictive. It does not affect the nervous system or increase the heart rate at all, therefore you should not get the
"shakes". The only side effects are good! ... increased energy and endurance and fat burning.

PG especially helps to keep the weight off during holiday season when we're all eating and drinking more.

Do you ever hear of allergic reactions? I read up on it before ordering it and on one site there was a warning to stop taking pyruvate (not the PG spray) if shortness of breath or chest pain occurs.

Seems odd that someone would have an allergic reaction, since the body makes pyruvate anyway...I don't have any allergies that I know of, and was just curious.

Casey, it was here: http://www.luhs.org/health/kbase/htm/mdx-/ame0/075/mdx-ame0075.htm on Loyola U HS site. Most web sites reported no or only minor side effects (such as gas).

I wonder if that was posted on the Loyola site just to err on the side of caution...you know, as a standard thing they put on websites about medications or supplements.

I do want to be clear -- the info on the Loyola site was about pyruvate itself, not the PG spray. :) My earlier post was to ask if anyone knew of allergic reactions to pyruvate itself. Thanks!
