I have been using Teresa’s Bulgarian Lavender Oil and have been thrilled with it. I use it directly on my face by tipping the bottle opening onto my finger and gently patting it on my face with freshly cleaned hands.
I have been using the same bottle now for roughly 3 months with every day usage. I still have a little over ¼ of the bottle left but the oil looks murky when I shake the bottle. When the oil has settled the residue lies at the bottom of the bottle.
The next problem that I think is associated with this murkiness is I have continued to use it. My face broke out into what I would call a severe rash. Slight swelling, slight peeling of skin, redness but oh my goodness the itchiness was beyond my ability to cope with. I actually took out my daughter’s prescribed diaper rash cream and it cleared it up instantly. I continued the use of the cream for a few days until it completely cleared up.
Now the only reason why I think it is the lavender oil is because I resumed using it and wouldn’t you know I am sitting here right now tapping my face because it is itching. The whole process is starting all over again.
So a few questions:
-could I be allergic to the oil?
-should I not be tipping the bottle and instead use a dropper?
-has anyone experienced this before?
-has anyone experienced ‘murkiness’ with their oils and what did you do with them? I am assuming I have to throw what’s left out.
I am by no means an expert when it comes to these essential oils. I am a complete newbie. Please help me with any advice you may have :)
