I know how lousy nutrasweet in most diet soda are. However on my man made days since I really miss diet sodas I may go for "diet Rite" because it is sweetened with sucralose (splenda) according to a friend. Of course I will have to check it out thoroughly. I work in healthcare (RN x 12 years ) and deal with enough chronic illness in people my age (40's)to scare me deeply. It's not the dying part its the how of dying that has increasingly become alarming to me. I'm not willing to sign up for what I see in the majority of todays 40 and 50 year olds: diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, heart attacks, arthritis, lots of auto-immune disorders. So if I have to give up diet colas forever to avoid some of this it is no small price to pay.
