Socks for Black MT's

Ok, looked in several stores today for black socks to wear with MT's. I was looking for a Thorlo type sock...something with cushioning but also with wick away properties. I found some black basketball socks, but they didn't seem very soft, and looking at the "ingredients" didn't seem like they were wickable.

Anyone have any ideas? What are you wearing with the black ones?
