MTs and wide feet

I have wide feet and it is difficult for me to find a comfortable WO shoe. The only brand that fits well is New Balance. I was very unsure about what size of MTs to order. I wear size 9 in street shoes, but 9.5 in my New Balance. I didn't really want to wait on the half sizes of MTs to be shipped so I went ahead and ordered a size 10. Never in my life have I worn a size 10 shoe. The shoes arrived yesterday and they fit perfectly. They actually are more comfortable than my New Balance. I think the extra half size gives that extra room for width and because they come up so high on the ankle there are less likely to slip if there is some extra room. I know several people with wide feet have posted questions about sizing. This may not work for everyone with wide feet, but it worked for me. I don't think I could have worn the size 9.5 in the MTs.
