Hi everyone, I'm new to posting on these boards, but familiar with T-tapp to which I am returning after a LONG hiatus. My concern is that I may have to undergo a partial hysterectomy soon due to massive fibroids which have grown so much over the last 2 years. (Have had them about 12 yrs total-now they are 5 mo. uterus size) I really would prefer a myomectomy, but will see what my new gyno says. Either way, I am facing surgery I have long dreaded. Has anyone here undergone a hysterectomy and has T-tapp really helped with the problematic weight gain afterwards? I feel from what I have seen, that most women immediately put the poundage on after this type of surgery. I am small framed and only about 12 to 15 lbs. over my ideal weight, and would HATE to worry about gaining even more! Unfortunately, I have yet to see a slim woman that has had a hysterectomy. I can't help but liken this to a spayed cat where they always grow in weight shortly after. Sorry, hope this does not sound offensive, but that is how I feel. I would like to believe that tapping would keep my body from "spreading". Any advice or can anyone relate to this? Of course, I need to return to exercise anyway and will do so. Thank you for any comments or advice.
