I saw a story on the"chef on a shoestring" that lentils are part of a new year good luck meal in Italy.
I'm more or less vegetarian (I do eat fish), I need more protein, so I'm cooking lentils now and I'll serve them in a salad with roasted red peppers olive oil and the recipe I have suggests crumbled feta cheese. Now that is a nice GM dish.
Any other New Years treats you want to share?
