Yesterday i got a new Border Collie Puppy. She's the sweetest girl, her name is "Fly". This is my first time raising a dog from "puppyhood". She's spoiled rotten with a doggy cage, a doggy play pen, automatic water dispenser, more toys than i had throughout my childhood, etc. She's the most charming little girl. The problem is, when we put her in her pen, or in her cage, she whines uncontrolable, and it's not quiet, it woke everyone up in the house. We put her down at 11pm, thinking she'd settle in an hour or so, well, at 5 am we finally gave in (YES, ALL NIGHT LONG). We took her out and of course she didn't have to go bathroom. She just wanted love and attention. My question is, how many of u have gotten new puppies and how long does this last before they realize that it's "nappy time" and whining won't get them anywhere
