Electric Toothbrush?

My dentist told me this morning I am brushing too hard and the roots of my teeth are beginning to show. He recommended I get an electric toothbrush that goes in circles. Does anyone have an suggestions? I don't have a lot of counter space in my bathroom so I would like something compact. Thanks in advance for your help.
